Hi Everyone. I have been a silent reader for exactly an year now. I am an Indian residing in Saudi Arabia and had applied exactly an year ago, on November 30, 2018. In this past one year the only communication I received from IRCC was a request letter for Saudi PCC in the month of January 2019. After that event nothing has happened. An auto change in my medical status happened on October 10, 2019 and it changed to not required. The medicals were an year old by then. I haven't received any remedical request. I wrote to the office of the Immigration Minister in July, and in September received a reply from his office confirming the presence of my application in London office. They wrote it was undergoing statutory background checks back then. I had also written to London office the same day and received a reply from them around the end of September. They sent me a single line email saying my application is awaiting review by an Immigration Officer. Over this past year I have gone through the CIC page on a daily basis. Now I feel like I have reached a dead end. How does one make sense of anything that's happening or not happening. Is this a vindictive behavior because of my ethnicity, religion or some other reason. Or as I want to believe it's just incompetence on part of the agency.
I am from Pakistan, my AOR is Nov 30, VO, London,RR on sibling residence, In Jan-19, got done with my Bio-metric and medicals since then NOTHING, no adr, in Nov 14 status changed to not required. So, yo aren't alone.
What I did to know the status of my applications are;
1- I Ordered GCMS twice (same status).
2-Multiple webforms to London VO

The latest reply which I got from my London VO is STILL AWAITING REVIEW.

I am telling you all because we are in same boat and feelings are same but we need to be patient.

Got RFV mail guys. Thanks to the Almighty and this forum for all the positivity.

It took exactly 13 months from the start to end. Below is the timeline:
AOR: 02 Nov, 2018
VO: Ottawa
First review of file on : April 23, 2018 (per GCMS notes). File marked as review required for eligibility as there was a previous refusal 10 years ago.
Long silence after that, no update in the CIC account
Medical expired: Oct 21, 2019, status changed to 'not required'
ADR (RPRF): Oct 22, 2019, paid same day
Remedical request: Nov 22, 2019
Remedial done: Nov 25, 2019
Remedial uploaded by clinic: Nov 26, 2019
Medical passed: Nov 29, 2019
RFV email: Dec 02, 2019

I know it's been a grueling and frustrating wait that we all went through but trust me, time will come for all of us to be happy and cheerful. Be patient, be hopeful, and above all be thankful for what you have.

Ours is Nov 28 Aor. Medicals expired on Nov 4th. File was touched sometime in May. Eligibility recommended passed and Background and security hasn’t started. Ordered second set of GCMS in October and haven’t received them yet.

Came here after a month and it is heart-breaking to see that so many of the November folks are still left. I got the RFV mail in October and I landed in Toronto on November 18. Since then, I have been juggling AirBnBs and trying to find a job.

The place is really good and everything is very well organised. People who are coming alone may feel a little homesick in the beginning since you will be sitting at home most of time trying to hunt for opportunities but I am sure once everything is settled, you will really be able to enjoy the city.

Hope to see you guys soon here!

Is there a whatsapp group for November folks? I would love to connect with you guys here.

It would indeed be nice to meet some of the folks! I'm traveling to Toronto tomorrow! :)
