My sister is filing up for immigrating to canada because she just got married few months ago to a Canadian Citizen. My sister who has an 8 year old daughter from her past relationship has no intention of coming with her yet to Canada because she said she is not ready now to move to Canada because she wants to finish her study in the Philippines first. My question is: “should my sister need to complete the IMM5604 just in case the child changed her mind and decided that she wanted to come with her mother to Canada?

If the child is non-accompanying, the form is not required. If she changes the child to accompanying mid-process, she would need to get the form.
