no. Eligibility hasn't been met so far. my criminality was met in july or august but since no update. it has been 5 months and 28 days now.
My criminality has been valid since August too, and I passed the 6 month deadline.
From my understanding eligibility is the last thing that would change on your profile, even when u get PPR it would still be showing "eligibility in check...".
I believe security check is the last step of any FSW outland application.
Please share your thoughts guys :)

Hi Guys,

I had been a silent observer on the forum for the past couple of months. We are in Sydney, Australia and have received a mail requesting for Passport on Thursday (14th Nov). See below timelines hope this helps:

AOR - 31st March 2019
Medicals Completed - 13th May
Biometrics completed and updated on profile - 20th May
No news for months. Contacted call centre couple of times but dint have much luck with updates. After 6 months raised web form query and received standard response.
VO - Sydney Australia; In between received couple of mails from VFS in September with decision envelope has been sent to VO Sydney, later had another one stating decision envelope transmitted to IRCC however, on calling the call centre they had no update. No update in October or November till 14th Nov.
Request for PR email from Canadian Consulate in Sydney, Australia - 14th Nov. Came to inbox, NOT spam mail. No Ghost Update either.
Portal status on 18th - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements; We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. So the portal can be confusing

submitted requested documents on 18th November. awaiting for COPR letter. Not sure how long they will take to process COPR considering Sydney (Australia) VO is slow.

Hope this helps everyone and stay positive guys you aint far!
Congrats. It was 7.5 month long wait for you.And by reading ur post I think there is no point analysing the various stages oyr file is in.We can only and only wait........

Aor 19th May 2019.
I got this response for webform today.
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.
How many days more guys,.can anyone guess correctly? Does this also mean my eligibility has "passed"?

Hi Wishcan,

Thanks for the clarification.

Based upon the info shared by the CIC Agent, I don't think your file is with NDVO....and I certainly hope that is the case, as NDVO is reputed to be slow and unresponsive :(

All the best.
You were right.I called today again. My file is in Sydney. But she said its review required.I asked her specifically whether eligibility is under review or review required but acc to her both mean same. She said nothing can be said as of now as they are processing my criminality security and eligibility.
I just got a ray of hope after listening abt Sydney hoping that they will do lil faster as compared to Ndvo.Though nothing can be assumed. Its all totally luck based. Also I felt they dont like it if we call again and again and they tell us whatever our profile tells only.Nothing specific as such. Not worth waiting half an hour.

My AOR is 23rd may,
Received RPRF request on 13th November.
The profile says " we are reviewing the documents uploaded".
VO is Ottawa

Any1 with similar timelines?
Or has anyone paid RPRF fees when requested and how much time does it take to go to next step.

my AOR is 6th May:
i had a similar reply when i raised a webform. Except in addition to mine, it says that, if i dont receive a decision or any information from them by 14th December, i should contact them again through a webform.

Cool.I think they might have mentioned that extra part because you raised a webform after normal procesaing times. ie 6 months. I raised it when 7 days were still left.

Hello Everyone,

I received my PPR today.
AOR - May 3rd
VO - Winnipeg
Single Applicant, Nationality Indian, but US resident.
Medicals passed on June 12th, submitted Biometrics on June 28th. No update since then until today.
Applied for GCMS on Sep 18th but never received it. (I got the 90 day extension email).
Waited till the completion of 6 months, sent an email to Winnipeg (Nov 4th) and received a response within 15mins saying that my application is yet to be assigned to an officer.
Raised a webform (Nov 5th) asking the status of eligibility, criminality, security and received the following response.

The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied, you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Received an email this morning saying I have new message in my account. Opened the account to see status change from 'submitted' to 'updated' and a passport request letter in the messages.
No ghost update (May be I missed it during the weekend, not really sure. I usually check everyday, except for weekends.)

This thread has been really very helpful. All I did was wait patiently until the 6 months period finished.

Good luck everyone :)

Thank You for the detailed updates.

One Quick Question:
You mentioned that you "sent an email to Winnipeg (Nov 4th) and received a response within 15mins"

From where we need to locate the address of VO?
My VO office is Edmonton, so what is the address of the office so that I can send the email too.

Thank You.
