Can i get a TRV and once i get the result, can we apply for conjugal right away or do we have to wait for a specific time before applying under conjugal?

You need to provide more background to your situation for anyone to comment given nothing is as simple as just getting a TRV.

Sorry...

Im in a same sex relationship with my partner for more than 2 years. She has visited me a couple of times here in Ph. But we cant live together because I am married. I am separated for 6 yrs. I cant get divorce because it isnt allowed in my home country. Annulment is an option but its a very long process and its expensive.

Can i try visiting my partner in canada by applying for a trv?

You can apply a TRV on your own.
As for spousal sponsorship it might not be applicable to you guys. The requirement is you either are married or your partner has been living with you for at least 12 consecutive months which is not the case because she is in Canada and you are not.

Uhmm we are not applying for spousal. We are planning to apply for conjugal sponsorship. Since she cant live here in Ph with me for one year because i am married and cant go for common law

You will need
  1. To apply for a Canadian TRV and be rejected
  2. To explain why she cannot live with you in the Philippines. Just being married and separated isn't enough
Before you qualify for conjugal. There needs to be an immigration barrier. Your married status and the rest support a conjugal application.

Does that mean if i get approved, I can live with her for one year and apply for common law?

If not, denied TRV can prove immigration barrier between us? Then we can apply for conjugal. Right?

If the TRV is approved, there is no immigration barrier preventing you from coming to Canada to become common-law.

If the TRV is refused, you can apply for conjugal.

I'm saying that without being denied a TRV to Canada you have no immigration barrier. With one, you have no immigration barrier.

You still need to explain why she cannot live with you.

Provided you get a TRV and are admitted to Canada, your only option is living with her a year to prove common law. That will necessitate an extension of status.

Okay got it!!

Im filling up the TRV form as I write this. Can i ask more questions if thats okay with you?

Post your questions here. If I, or others, have time to reply we will.

Thank you...

I am still married here in Ph. Obviously, my marital status should be married but Ive read on the marital status definition on the cic page that legally separated are those who are married but not living together as a spouse.

I am married but im not living together with my spouse for many years. Thoughts?

They can't live together in the Philippines because OP is married and adultery is illegal there.

You are legally separated.
