During January it will be winter right. We are coming there with a two year old.
Winter yes but depends where you are settling given winters in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax all have their uniqueness in terms of cold weather.

Hi everyone!

I have to arrive in Canada by mid-February as well and I personally plan to settle in Ontario (either Toronto or Ottawa). I am from a tropical country, it is summer time here right now and it is very hot. So, I definitely cannot bring proper winter garments from my home country, I've got no one to pick me up at the airport once I land, and I do not have the right visa to stop by the United States to look for some, as suggested in an earlier post.

So I was thinking about landing in Vancouver first to buy the proper winter clothes from there if possible, then fly out to Ontario once I have them. Here, I am just assuming that I can find the types of winter garments for places like Ontario in Vancouver.

But what do you all think? How doable is that in reality? Would that plan work?

Thank you all.
