Hi Guys,
I need suggetion in my case. I am primary applicant and my spouse is dependant applicant. We received ITA and submitted PR application under CEC. I also applied for our bridging open work permit as it is going to be expired in october month. Now the company has laid me off. So will this affect my BOWP?

I don't think so. A BOWP does not depend on your employment status but rather the fact that you applied for PR.

I am unclear whether you need to inform IRCC that you were laid off, though. Might want to check in when more members of this forum have responded.

Hello,
I am planning to apply under the CEC program :
Can someone advise me if I could be approved with below condition?

1) I have Canadian work experience for 15 months (NOC A)
2) IELTS R 6 L 6.5 W 6 S 7

My age is 47 and total point calculation is around 375

Do I have a chance to get my PR under CEC?
Thanks

Hi Bob
I do not think you would get an invite with a score of 375, it is too low. The last few cutoffs have been around 460 or so. You get 0 points for your age, which is a huge issue here. It is better to try through PNP.

I think the PNP program has been closed for this year?
Is that true?

You still have to apply through EE after getting your provincial nomination. There are many PNP programs and they mostly vary from province to province, so I do not understand why they would be closed for the year.

Intake Closed for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
Please note that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has closed intake to the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream as of September 23, 2019. No new applications can be submitted as of this date.

The Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker and International Student streams have seen a significant increase in applications in 2019 and due to Ontario’s limited nomination allocation from the Federal government, the province has met its application target for these streams for the year.

The Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker and International Student Streams will re-open in 2020 to accept applications for the new nomination year. The Employer Job Offer In-Demand Skills Stream remains open to applications at this time.

Okay, that makes sense. They have run out of their yearly intake quota. Well, they start again in 2020, that's like in 3 months or so. Get your documents in place in the meantime and apply for OINP when the opportunity arises.

Thanks for your Reply, in this case:

1) Is that happen every year (PNP closing), or better asking - Is that happen before?
2) How difficult is to get NOC 00 approval - my Job title is General Construction Manager - Claim Specialist?

Fortunately, that is one of the traditional PNP programs, not the Express Entry stream. Under the OINP, the main express entry stream is called the "Human Capital Priorities" Stream. Minimum CRS is 400 to receive a Notification of Interest (NOIs), however. As well, NOIs can be targeted towards specific occupations.

I am sorry, can you please explain in simple language (for my understanding)
It means that the "closure" notice is for the wrong program, it has no impact on CEC applicants.

Thanks - But My question is - what is the wrong program?

The foreign workers stream info that you posted above is not applicable to Express Entry.
