Recently engaged...is it okay to tell the border agent?

Hello,

I'm a US citizen and recently got engaged to my fiancee who lives in Vancouver. She is a Korean citizen who has been living their for the past 8 years under a visa.

When she travels to see me in Seattle, is it okay if she tells the border agent that she's coming to see her fiancee? Or is that not safe? Usually she just tells them that she is going to see a friend and they still ask her a bunch of questions.

Any help would be appreciated.
