Hi guys,
I am Aug 15 NOI. I tried submitting the application yesterday. while making the payment, the page did not refresh and the transaction went through, but it got stuck there. the result was that although the money has been debited from my account, it is not showing application submitted. I am really close to the submission deadline, and dont want this to delay my application any further.
i tried writing to OINP, but didnt get any response via mail. has this happened to anyone else? what should I do in such a case? OINP reply times are excruciatingly slow.
Call thier customer service number, they will give me immediate solution.

Hi All,

I have got into a tricky situation.
And need your suggestions on that.

I submitted my OINP profile on 29th August with a CRS score of 435.
I thought my IELTS is expiring by 30th September but it expired on 22nd September and as I didn’t updated my express entry profile they changed it to not eligible and moved it out of the express entry pool.

I have created a new profile under the express entry pool with new IELTS results. But my CRS this time is 379 as I was not able to achieve CLB 9 again.

I haven’t updated my express entry profile with Oinp. Nor I have updated them about the change in my CRS and the drop in CRS.
What should I be doing from this point?
So you need to have an eligible and valid express entry profile for them to send the nomination to. The only way out that I see is that you retake the IELTS , maybe the computer based one and then update those results as soon as possible (aim for CLB 9). Post that you may send the required information to OINP about your old and new profile, so that they can then send the nomination to your new profile.

You can try calling them and ask about this, but since your current score is 379, while they invited candidates ranging from 435-458, that might be an issue. But no harm in checking with them first

Thanks Akhil
2 Qs here.

1.I have been hearing from my PR agency that 2171 is the next eligible Noc.
Hence keeping my fingers crosses on this.

2. Also will it be ok if i change my NOC to 2172 just to an invite?
Wont it be like fudging if data coz 2172 is more related to IT coding while 2171 is Analyst based role.
What you suggest

1. I cannot comment on that, frankly no PR agency would have that kind of information. Just a way of making money (if your contract with them is contingent on you getting an ITA/ if they charge extra for PNP processing/ if you haven't signed with them yet and your signing is based on you being sure about this)
Neither they, nor anyone can be sure about that. So that I leave to your judgement

2. The point is , you should be able to get the relevant roles and responsibilities letter for 2172 from your employer. In that case it isn't misrepresentation. If I take my example again, while deciding my NOC initially, I actually discussed it with my manager for a long time and finalised on 2171, based on job titles and some responsibilities. The point of contention even that time was 2171 vs 2172.
Post news of this Tech draw initiative, I again got back in touch with him, and based on past work ex and projects I had done, actually 2172 made more sense per my profile.

So if you have worked on Databases, ETL, Business Intelligence etc, then 2172 is definitely relevant to you and not just IT coding purely. That would be 2173 or 2175

Ontario immigration must be able to confirm your ECA results with the organization that completed it. This means you must authorize the organization to share the results with them (the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). To authorize to see your ECA report:

1. Comparative Education Service - you need to fill out a consent form
2. World Education Services - Order a copy of your ECA report online and indicate the “OINP” as the recipient of the report

Note: For the other organizations, no additional steps are required. Ontario can confirm directly.

Hi @13nitinsharma,

Do you know about IQAS ECA? Should I order another copy for OINP or they would verify by their own?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Bikram,

I have just gone thru the OINP application guideline. In the guideline, it is mentioned that one of the criteria of "Intention to Reside in Ontario" is having relatives (e.g, I have my uncle) in Ontario.

However, OINP will go to EE pool and pick the applicants to send to them the NOI.

1) How do OINP know that I have my uncle in Ontario?
2) In EE profile, do we have option to indicate that we have relatives in Ontario? I am not in the EE pool yet and have not created the profile there. So that's why I have those confusions.

Anyone can help me to clarify?
Hi michaelle,

One of the important criteria to get eligible for OINP is that you must have got a EE profile. Once you create an EE profile and meet the necessary CRS score and be among the in demand job NOCs then you will have a chance to receive the NOI.
After you receive an NOI, then you apply for the OINP program (OINP application). While applying for OINP you will find an option to mention about your relatives in Ontario.
If you do not have an EE (Express Entry) profile in the first place, you will not be picked up for NOI. So first create an EE profile.
