PGWP& OWP extension

Hi i am very confused can anyone help me...

My study is almost complete and i am going to apply for PGWP in Jan and right now my spouse is on open work permit , Now i am working in grocery store as a cashier, they are going to give me a permanent job offer after my study, so can i apply for PGWP along with my husband OWP extension , or i need to do that separetely.....

Your husband does not qualify to extend his OWP at this time. In order for your husband to qualify to extend his OWP, you must have a NOC A, B or 0 job. A cashier job does not meet these requirements. Unless you find a different job that meets the skill level requirements, your husband will not be able to extend his OWP.

Yes - as long as you have already started the job and can provide three pay slips.

It doesn't have to be a manager or supervisor job - but it does have to be skilled. A cashier job is not a skilled job. If you want to work at a grocery store, you will need a manager or supervisor role for the job to be NOC A, B or 0.

If the store you are working in now promotes you to a manager or supervisor role where you are in charge of overseeing people, then you will meet the NOC requirement.

You will actually need to work as the supervisor and get paid the same rate of pay as a supervisor.

No but the jobs in NOC 0,A or B are skilled or semi-skilled jobs. You were the one who brought becoming a manager or supervisor in a grocery store.

Do you understand what a NOC A, B or 0 job is?

If you want to continue to work for the grocery store, then you would need to be a supervisor or manager to have a job that is classified as a NOC A, B or 0 role.
