Hi did they request the original Hukou booklets or photocopies? does it have to be notarized and did they request notarized original or scanned documents? Thanks in advance

they do not need original hukou booklets. they need photocopies. but must be the notarized translation. If you are doing in china, must be done local notary public. if you are doing in canada, you need to go to notary public or commission of oath with true certified copies stamp.

Copy of Hukou (household register) if you reside in the People’s Republic of China or Taiwan, accompanied by a notarized translation into either English or French. Translation must be part of the notarized booklet.

Has anyone done the medical examination in Canada? I wonder how much it would cost?

Depending on different cities/provinces.
In Calgary, its $220- $225 + additional cost for blood work and chest xrays (which i assume would be around $100-150 combined)
But in Ontario, someone had shared the prices in this thread, was little less as compared to AB.
On an average it would be around $300-$400 including blood tests and x-rays.

Hi there, did you get a medical request for your parents already?

Hi
on Aug 29th I was requested to send my father death certificate which I faxed the same day.
Today after 2 weeks I called them to verify if they have received it since there has been no correspondence of acknowledgment. The agent put me on hold for 15 minutes but could not find it anywhere in my file. She did not advise me on what to do next and said it might take longer to show up in the file, however their request letter mentioned "fax" would be the fastest way!

Should I now mail the death certificate just to be on the safe side? Is there any other option?
Thanks!
Better mail it! Did you get anymore message from them?

No June applications just started to get their AOR. So may be by end of this month or beginning of next you will hear something. Check tracker on this profile @YULIA-2016

Please advise how to link the account on the My CIC account.

Does it have to be linked? or there are repercussions if not linked.. right now I just go online and check by putting in the UCI number, surname, date of birth and place of birth
Please go to the tracker on this @YULIA-2016 profile. Click on 2019 and then find S3 column on the spreadsheet. There is a link that will guide you through.
