We got medical completed for my DAD 3 weeks back, what are the timelines i am looking for till he gets PR? What are the next steps ?

No it's actually happening, i just find it weird

since last 2 days I notice that applicant getting BIO request and Ecas status still @ " Appl received" . random process or Ecas updated.

Yes - If CIC request you to submit biometrics.

Not in Canada for now . You have to go to cross border USA , Mexico or back Home to complete Bio

Thanks Robert. That is surprising, why CIC does not accept biometrics from Canada.

Do have idea how much time duration does CIC provides for submission of biometrics.

They were saying that in 2019 they will be opening biometric centres in Canada but nothing so far. There are few facilities to take biometrics in Canada but just for a few visa types such as some study/work permits.

Thats why they are providing exemption to some applicants who were in Canada at the time of application but this has not been 100%, there were few people who got bio requests even their parents being in Canada at the time of application submission and Canadian address.

They give you 30 days to complete the bio, which in some circumstances you can ask them to extend. They may extend the period to a 60 days or even more.
