I submitted a request for GCMS notes on June 19th. Still haven't received them. On August 13th I emailed them with the tracking number and again no response. This was under the privacy law(the free one) Is there a reason I haven't receive it yet?
Should I go and submit one with the Access to Information Act?
Also. what do you think of ordering CBSA notes?
my security check started on May 22nd and still no change!
I also requested GCMS notes on June 25 and have not received it yet. I sent an email to them and got this last week.

Thank you for contacting the Access to Information and Privacy Office.
We acknowledge that your request has been received and is in processing. According to our records, your request was due on July 25, 2019.
Although we make efforts to provide timely access to records, the large volume of requests our institution processes makes it impossible to determine the exact date your file will be ready.
Please note that we have flagged your request as priority and the information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause.

Regards,
Client Service Representative | Représentant du service à la clientèle.

Hi all,

I’ve been a silent reader here for a while, and with each day that passes I lose hope with the processing of my application.

AOR: Dec 28 2018
Med Passed: Feb 8 2019

Nothing since then. One of my calls in July helped me know that the Agent had marked my eligibility Not Met because of no evidence of work experience, whereas I did upload the letter. The Call Centre agent advised me to submit a webform with updated letter and paystubs which I did. (No ADR, just had a really helpful call centre agent for once) Got the “your file is in queue” response. And ever since then nothing.

I was working in US, but had to move back to India mid-August due to OPT expiration. I submitted a webform on Aug 14 for change of address and phone number to which I got no response. I called on Aug 30 and found out that they havent updated it yet, and was advised to submit the web form again. I did that Aug 30, and I still havent received any response as of Sep 10.

The fact that they’re not even considering my address update web form is disappointing. And considering that I get no details on my status anymore, and that there is no movement on my file, it’s just making me feel worse everyday. I’ve already downsized a lot and moved back to India, and now I feel im gonna be stuck here for a while looking at all the other 2018 threads.

Okay, vent over, suggestions appreciated regarding the address change.

I called them in August just to be told that the application is progress and the agent asked me to wait. Agent told me that she will sent a note to the officer to proceed.

I email Ralph but did not get response. I don't know the email address for Ottawa office, can you please help me with the same?

I am thinking of ordering another set of notes this week, but wanted to know if there are any other options available.
So, I emailed Ralph yesterday and also marked an email to CPC-Ottawa.

I received an instant reply from Ralph and following is the status:
"Eligibility, criminality, and security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.
Medicals are valid until Dec 12, 2019."

So it looks like nothing has been started except medicals and there has been no progress made since July GCMS notes. It is still stuck at Info Sharing.

Anyone has any suggestions on what I can do in this situation?

I raised a webform request change for address and also told them to update the visa office to Local Indian Visa Office. They responded back in 6-7 days saying that they have updated the address.

Have you also asked them(in webform) to update your US Canadian visa office (nearest to your current city), apart from mentioning the new address ? This is for process after PPR, as you are suppose top send your passport.
I had similar issue, had to travel back from US on urgent basis due to visa issues.

I am in same situation. Got exact same reply from Ralph's office. More than 9 Months wait, with not even eligibility is completed. Frustration levels are on peak. But unfortunately, nothing can be done expect waiting.

I mentioned the address and phone number change both the times, and did not receive any response either of the times. I waited about 13 business days after the first webform and they said they didnt update it. I haven’t mentioned specifically to change the Visa office as I thought they would change it to India. Should I raise another web form? I cannot go back to the US, even for a short term right now.

If they asked you ADR for job duties, your eligibility check has started.

They should and they have to change your address. Certainly, no one can fly back to US to submit and later collect passport.
Raise another webform. Tell them your old address and new address. Find the nearest Canadian visa office, where PPR request can be submitted. and tell them to update you Visa office to that one for PPR purpose. Only 15 days are given to submit passport, once PPR is issued.

May be its started, but not completed from ages. Looks like one fine day they opened a file, requested a ADR and forgot about it. Hope some one in future again touches my file and make things moving.
