Oh yes there is. No one in the US knew about express entry program or ever gave a second thought to Canada until last year. But that all changed now. There are tens of thousands of candidates with US masters and many years of quality, in-demand and relevant employment experience who are considering the Canada express entry program as a safety net. These folks average above 450 and anyone with masters is 470 plus. My score for example was 511. Everything makes sense and it’s not some huge CIC conspiracy. Competition is high with lots of talented candidates showing interest. That is all.

Can you share more details if you don't mind ? like if you have any canada working experience or got your PHD in Canada or you have a relative who is a canada zitien ? because seem to me 511 is impossible .

Yes, Education as graduation and IELTS - 7,6,6.5,7 in LRSW
I have asked him to give IELTS again as if he gets CLB 7. I will get 4 points and my CRS will come to 462. But looking at current trend, feel 462 will also be less :(

You still have to ask him to get higher IELTS score,dear...Every point counts.

462 is a safe points I would say...next draw cut off score should be around 459-460.

With 462, you guys will not have to wait long in the pool. Maximum points for spouse is 20 points with CLB 9. Your husband's score is not far off so better ask him to sit for IELTS exam again. Try CD-IELTS for faster result(5-7days).

I'm planning to sit for IELTS again soon. My husband already contributed full points for IELTS. Now, it's only my IELTS that delaying our invitation but it's so hard to study if you have a hyperactive son that won't leave you alone. Not even a bathroom break, hahaha.

So, I will be joining IELTS training class just to give myself proper time to focus on preparing for IELTS without any disturbance from my toddler. :D:D

All the best,dear.

I agree with you. I like how people think that US degrees are better than the rest of the world. Maybe their advantage is they get a high language score that boost it. A part from that, I think CIC should make a special program for US Immigrants apart from the rest of the world :)
Not even the language my friend
Australia South Africa and don’t forget England all of these people speaks English and most of the people now goes to international schools
And the problem is fake accounts that something everybody know about it almost everybody I saw them in Twitter Instagram and Facebook bragging about how many fake accounts They have

Part of what you say is True
But the world is not Only US my friend

Canada is always preferable immigration destination in the rest of the world
India China and Nigeria equivalent to more than 70% of applicants before and now

US degrees and work experience is no different to Any degreeS or experience in the world so that doesn’t give them any more Points

Nobody say anything about cic conspiracy it’s all about miss use of the system
Witches shows in the amount of ita being turned down recently which witness huge increase according to the Many immigration news letter

Have a look in the pool numbers last year and this year considering the 20 pointed increase in the cut off (numbers will not add up)

World is not what you see you need to Think deeper to figure it out
there is more exposure and incentive for students in usa to move (proximity and similarily) vs the rest of the world. there are close to 500000 recent indian graduates in usa who have 3+ yrs exp with nowhere to go. so someone like them has more motivation than a student from india or rest of the world. you are misinformed as to the impact of the usa pool. expect the crs to remain in the upper 460's or even 470's in the coming draws. bye

I am replying against my better judgement here as I don’t want to get sucked into an argument with you.
What do you mean think deeper etc ?
What do YOU possibly gain by floating conspiracy theories or saying nonsense like fake profiles etc ? Say hypothetically you are right, what are you going to do about it ?? You (or anyone else in here) have no control or say over anything. If floating such theories (Fake profiles etc) makes you feel better, then go right ahead. But rather you should probably focus on yourself and try improve any aspect of it for a better future.

I don't want to post a 'lose hope' message on RoH thread. I don't think the increase in cutoffs can be entirely attributed to US applicants, but that is certainly a factor. Over the years, I have seen awareness about EE increase steadily among H1B's in the US and the hopelessness of US GC dream is also slowly dawning upon people making them seek Canada PR as a backup. While US degrees may not be better than any other degrees, they are much more likely to be evaluated as equivalent to Canada. US applicants also have ease in obtaining work experience letters, transcripts, and necessary funds.
The other factor in this increase is IMO the PNP program and people using it more effectively.

Guys how do urll get such a vast difference in scores if yourll apply as a single applicant. I tried to calculate my crs score without my husband, and my crs is increasing only by 2 points.
I have another question, if we apply as a single applicant, can we take our kids along with us without husband ?
Yes
