To be honest, nothing helps other than being patient. They need to do something about the application status updates. The applicant should have the right to be kept updated. It’s chaotic right now

Same here. Can't reach the agents anymore, there isn't an option to get them . I used the same number as i was able to get hold of agent twice before but not anymore. I guess they don't want us to call them anymore

Could be system maintenance or weekend? I really hope they aren’t pulling the plug on it. It would be unfortunate for the applicants to lose this facility which can be helpful sometimes

To all those whose aors have crossed or will cross 6 months and have not got any update on their profile since bio metrics, just be patient and hang in there.

I am an aor 4th march and was in the same boat untill yesterday when i got my 1st ghost update.

Just keep following up.

We’ve not been able to get through to a human and the recording says they are changing over to a system where you leave a voicemail and they will get back to you.

Absolutely no idea where it’s being processed and to be honest, all of the websites to order GCMS notes looked sort of dodgy. Have you managed to find out anything?

We've managed to get through about 3 times since May, to get clearer updates than the online system. Last we heard they were unable to tell us if eligibility was started though, I suspect not as we would've had an answer by now (call was a while ago).

On Monday we pass 6 months and will raise a query on webform or try to call but seeing everyone having problems with that we will probably not have much success there.

There is someone in JNB/PTA that does GCMS notes (Deane Acres), costs R650 and includes an explanation. So we might do that if we get desperate.

Eligibility, once started, can be done within a couple of days. And If it's met, you have just crossed a major hurdle...

Looking at their current slo-mo performance and ever stretching timelines , Its hard to believe that they completed eligibility within few days. I thought eligibility and security were particularly the most time consuming phases

I was thinking maybe the agents also have a limited knowledge of status and the actual status can sometimes be different from what the agents are telling

can someone please tell if they have encountered a situation where security and eligibility isn't started and you've been told by the agent that your file is pending review by immigration officer? i thought the file goes under extensive review for eligibility by case analyst before reaching this queue???

This is when First Analyst has put in notes for a document or a set of documents to be reviewed in detail by case officer.

You did not provide an LOE as to why you are only submitting offer of employment, and no other proof of the employment. Also, you are missing duties and responsibilities, which is a big challenge. If you cannot get one from your employer, get your Senior to give a letter stating that, and attach their employment proof... Whatever you can give to provide your employment proof... not only offer letter... they need to see the employment started and continued.

From the notes, its look like you have not provided reference letter which includes the description of your duties and responsibilities. The officer, therefore, could not verify it. You have submitted offer letter which doesn’t look favourable.
