Practically speaking, Eligibility assessment shouldn't take more than 1 hour per application to verify and pass, it's really simple and straight forward for Express Entry since documents format are already disclosed under Regulation 10 and is therefore easier for you to adhere to and for them to review.

However due to the backlog in GCMS, your file will stay untouched for pretty much 99% of the time till someone pick it up and finish it in no time.

As for security, it really depends on your background declaration but for the most part many on this forum have had this section completed in few days to few weeks after eligibility was recommended passed by the case analyst.

Regards
I agree that there probably is abig backlog but it's Not always the case for eligibility.

Sometimes they need to verify that document submitted are genuine and not fraudulent. Alternatively not all applicants are able to submit documents in fixed format because of tyranny of HR department of the company they work.

Just providing and alternate viewpoint :)

By the way @blessed99 last I heard in August first week was eligibility: Review Required. And last update in file was as of March. You are not alone.

All these talks about eligibility and security. After you clear all these, an officer will still sit on their hands to initiate PPR email.
The human factor involved in the PPR process is the cause of delays. The complexity of human behavior is beautiful but can also be a deterrent to progress.

@Spotted Hey brother where are you? Have you got PPR and left us? :D:D:p:p
:) Im on a work trip to the US and swamped,

No PPR yet sadly. And its all my boss asks about

When I get it maybe just maybe Ill sneak away. Or Ill write one of those silent reader posts, Hi All, I've been a silent reader of this forum taking care of my pet goat lisa-goat and day dreaming of daffodils and silver clouds. Ive never been impatient or anything, I just hum kumbaya all the time and give random strangers big hugs and money because I have so much love and patience in my heart. Im hugging all of you now and wishing you PPR soon. If we meet in Canada Ill give you a hug and some money and allow you to pet lisa-goat. Bye, kisses.

I love that sarcasm. Those people act as though they've got the best traits by not giving any feedback to the group, and planning a union in an uncharted territory. It amuses me when I see them do that.

Life has been pretty hell here too.

As days pass by, I'm more confident of celebrating 1 year anniversary.

You are not alone. BTW, I am more honored than you by Canada immigration process :p

I created my Express Entry Profile in 10 Dec 2017 and parallelly applied for WES ECA for master degree. Then on 1st Jan 2018, I applied for SINP under express entry category....now journey started...my co-passengers got the ECA within 4 months and nomination in following month but again I was special candidate there too :D when I followed with WES, they said that they are overloaded (usually they used to get 300 application but in that period they received 1000 applications) and it will take time to clear the application, thankfully I got ECA on 14th Dec 2018. After that SINP was too kind for me unexpectedly and gave nomination on 31st Dec 2018:eek::eek::eek:

I got ITA on 14th Jan 2019 and submitted all the documents through consultant on 29th Jan 2019 so that I don't make any mistake and consultant is a well known law firm in Canada so thought by their reputation immigration officer will move the file faster due to trust/faith on the law firm but I was grossly wrong....my file was assigned to a jerk (CB01126) in April who has not even touched the file since 5th April, though he/she was given due date of 5th May as per GCMS note.

So, I am going to complete my 2nd anniversary in this process soon, so I am a winner :p:p:p:p

Sometime I feel that god is giving signals to stay away from this mess but probably I am getting too selfish and ignorant..let's see what comes out of this:)
