I have been asked to submit my passport to get a visa issued. They ask you to report a change in a few aspects and one of them is "Change in health". What medical conditions are expected to be reported? Also how do we report changes?

If it is a major change in health such as TB, HIV/AIDS, they are ought to be reported.

If it's just mild viral fever or cold or seasonal flu, you can ignore it.

Thanks for your response. Do cancers have to be reported?

Cancer's are major health concerns. I believe they should be reported. However, I do not know whether Cancer will be ground for rejection as cancer's are not communicable diseases. If the application is for PR, applicant might be refused due to the cost of treatment of cancer.

It is indeed a PR application. There should be no cost on the Canadian health system as my last chemotherapy session is next week, and so far the treatment has been going well.

Safe to assume I should not hide it from them?

You can mention that you had been going under treatment for cancer and your last sessions is on this date and have so far good results, along with stating that you will not be a burden on the canadian health services, along with relevant documentation that you have been successfully treated.

I would refrain myself from misrepresenting myself and be honest with the application and changes.

And I wish the best for you and your health and happiness and a speedy recovery!
