I submitted to the embassy in Amman. My question, where is your spouse residing. I am in Baghdad, but there is a problem with returning my passport back to Baghdad. They agency is claiming the embassy should send an email regarding the pick up of passport.

Hi , just a question so if the vo is amman and you got a request for the passport ..
you can send it to vo in lebanon ?
can you please explain more ..did they mentioned you can send it to vo in lebanon instead ..i am the same case ..i need to know if its possible to send the passport to vo lebanon instead when they request it

Yes you can send it to Beirut Lebanon
You may submit the passport(s) in-person to our authorised representative at one of the following Visa Application Centres or to the closest Visa Application Centre to you. Locations are available at: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rcc/offices/find-visa-application-centre.html :

You are not guaranteed 2 months it could possibly be longer or shorter

I got passport request so my lawyer was right i guess

Application Submitted April 15, 2019 at VO Sydney
Biometrics Received June 2, 2019
Application moved to Amman VO June 19, 2019


I hope we have more information soon! I linked our application to my GCkey, and the time bar says 9 months.

what type of you application is it spouse over seas , i applied my wife and three kids in Amman office in April 2019 , so when i expect medical test .

I want to share my timeline with you
1- applied for protected person in Canada in Feb 2017
2- Got accepted in May 2017
3- Applied for PR in June 2017
4- Added my husband as overseas dependent for protected person in January 2018 ( under one year window program)
5- Got my PR in December 2018
6- Spouse documents transfer to Amman VO in December 2018
7- Requested documents submitted to Amman VO in January 31 2019
8- Got pre arrival email in March 2019
9- medical test not requested yet and still waiting
