Thank you for replying, @cansha. If I remember correctly, it's been quite a few months now since your PR struggles ended, and I hope that you've settled in Canada with greatest success and joy!

I was thinking about giving them (ha ha, like I'm in a position to do that, lol) a week, and then I'll order CBSA notes and GCMS (these are separate, right, or the CBSA contains the info from regular GCMS?).
In regard to getting the MP involved, I need to do more research on that, as I am not sure that, being out of Canada, we are eligible to ask for any assistance/ help + all that regular questions to whom, what, how bla.
To be honest, I'm not sure what is it I should write - the whole story or just the fact that it's been almost a year and some irregularities on their part are quite obvious - like those I've written in my previous post. I really never did think it would be an "express" thing, and I don't want to sound spoiled, but I just know that my partner and I are on the verge to just give up the whole moving to another country and starting all over again thing. It has just been so awesomely devastating, and there's no end in sight. On the better note, we're closer than ever, ahaha!

Anyways, I'll keep you, folks, in the loop.
Wishing everybody good luck, in whichever process of settling in Canada you're in.

Hello you can email Ralph Goodale to have accurate information about the file. Below is the template that people have been using to email him. I emailed him while I was waiting for my third set GCMS notes and the information given by him was the same as my GCMS notes. Email him during Canadian office hours. ( in the morning is better) His office will reply to you on the same day. Good luck!

Reposting the template for you...

His office responds to all queries but the only information they usually give out is the status of eligiblity, Criminality and security but it is an option you should definitely take.
I am from the US and his office still responded to my query

It’s been almost 9 months for me ... Even eligibility is not done. Let’s see what information I can get through him.
What a price to pay for applying PR from US. I thought it will be faster than rest of the applications.
I believe, if I file again from India, I might get PR earlier lol

Have you ordered GCMS notes in recent times?

application approvals seem to have slowed across the board. Montreal probably worse than the other offices, but there seems to be a serious logjam with IRCC applications.

Apparently Justin Trudeau was here in GTA recently and was asked a question about application processing from IRCC. According to what i read on the other forum he said that they're now prioritizing inland applicants.

Which is funny because that wasn't the case a few months ago.

I passed everything on 26th July, done my biometrics on 12th AUG and completed on 13th AUG in my profile(got an ghost update also for biometrics). Yesterday I got an ghost update again in my account, today I called IRCC and got to know nothing has changed even though not approved. I was trying to verify from them what's that update mean?

I got approved back in May.

Although I suspect my local MP had a big part to play in me getting a quick finish to the application.

@Bunny Thapar
Seems like I am stuck in a similar situation

Emailed Ralph Goodale yesterday and got to know that my VO is Montreal. (According to GCMS notes that i got two months ago, Primary office was showing as Calgary).

AOR: 3 Feb 2019. (CEC INLAND, applied from Ontario)
Criminality in progress,
Eligibility and security not yet started.

Almost 7 months and no progress on file
