I'm just curious but does Canada have special treaties or agreements with India? When I look at the last few months of tracking it seems like applications from India go way faster than literally every other country which surprised me. I would have thought applications from the USA would be the fastest because they're so close but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I Have been asking the same question. not to be jealous, but it is unfair that some people have to wait over a year whereas some others files are completed within 75 days. if there is a reason why files from India have short delay, at least IRCC should be clear about. I'm pretty sure it has someting to do with Background check.

Thanks for the reply
Another update: We called again (they would only give more detailed info to me, the sponsor and not my partner, PA). They said our application had been returned because we did not include the Schedule A form. When we submitted our applicatino, we read in the check list many many times and it said in the Police and Background Checks section: "Once we receive your application, you will be requested to send a a) validated Schedule A and b) completed police check.... So, anyway, we will now complete the Schedule A and send back, although frustrating that they say this when really you need to include it.

I would continue trying to get through to them - we got through 1 every 5 times we called. They may be able to give you more specific details.

Good luck!

It is also quite possible that many of these cases involve spouses that were declared before and who were previously examined when the sponsor came to Canada. That would significantly reduce processing time. There are many factors at play.

It is a rather very recent phenomenon. Files from India used to take anywhere between 1-2 years. India is probably the largest source of spousal sponsorships for Canada. Also most of the documents they request can be verified online. Atleast all the documents I had were verifiable online.

Transferred to Mississauga I am guessing the PA might be already in Canada on TRV or other visa, which will be way faster.

Hello! My wife has completed her medical and the clinic people said they will send it to IRCC. Before we left, they gave us a paper copy of an eMedical information sheet. Do we need to upload this?

Here is the request we had received from IRCC before we went to the clinic:
  1. We sent XXXXXX XXXXX medical instructions on August 21, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
I'm guessing I do nothing and just wait for the clinic to send to IRCC. Am I right?

Thanks! I don't want to make a single mistake!

If the doctor works with eMedical, they’ll give you an information sheet print out to include with your application.

If you had your medical exam after submitting your application, you don’t need to send us anything.

Yes we did not get any update of movement of our file.
And COCO has got the PPR email as far as I know. Others like me are awaiting for our PPR.

We wish to receive it soon (the wait is killing)
Congrats on the DM. I have a quick question where did you/your spouse do the biometrics collection. We just received the request letter mentioned we will have to leave Canada since my wife, the PA, is already in Canada?

Any one else have similar experience?

Anyone here are in similar situation?

I am the sponsor, My wife is the PA.

PA moved from US to Canada after sponsorship application file submission. Now we are not sure if we need to submit biometrics since she is in Canada right now. but we indeed received the request letter, indicating she need to leave the country to schedule appointment at USCIS in US to collect biometrics for IRCC. Anyone on the same boat here? Wife had H1B but visa expired now she is getting a visitor visa to the US appointment in 3 weeks and we might have to ask for extension for biometrics. would the biometrics extension delay our application?

besides US, anywhere else we could do the biometrics which could get it done sooner than later?

Thank you so much

Our Timeline:

AR: June 11th
AOR: July 31st. Never received the AOR but confirmed with IRCC on the phone.
Application Start: July 30th.
SA: August 23rd
Medical request August 26th
Biometrics request: August 26th

Hi guys am really curious and a little confused. We got AOR, and biometrics request. But never got a medical request. On August 26, we got an email informing transfer of file to visa office.

Is it possible that we don't have a medical request and get file transfer? Could the case precessing center forget to send a medical request?

What do you advise we do.

I am in the same situation, but from what other people here in the forum says, it’s completely normal, and every case is different.
