I didn’t mentioned this earlier as I wasn’t sure about the outcome. But, my mother is currently staying with me on Visitor Extension Valid until 31-Dec-2019 and we had to renew her Passport because it was damaged.

So We got that renewed couple weeks ago & she did her Medicals as it is required for Visitor Extension.

Hence, I updated IRCC via email & webform both just trying our luck that the same medical could be considered against her PR application and guess what ???

I just checked my CIC account and it appeared like they accepted it as of today 24 Aug 2019.

Moreover, due to the fact that I mentioned her plan to stay in Canada until December 2019. I think they didn’t sent BIOMETRIC request yet unlike all other applicants whose applications reached ottawa same as my week who got Biometric requested where their VO = CIC Mississauga.

But, all in all Luckily I saved $250 for medicals. And Hopefully they would return back my Biometric fees


Ecas Status:

1. Sponsorship application changed to Decision Made on August 20th 2019.
2. Principal Applicant status changed to In Progress (August 22th 2019).
3. Received SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL letter in the email Today (August 22th 2019).
4. VISA OFFICE : CPC-MISSISSAUGA

Review of eligibility

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. [Not Sure Why ?? Even though I received Sponsorship Approval]

Review of medical results

• August 24, 2019 You passed the medical exam.

Hi Iam in the process of online visa extension for my parents who are super visa holders. I am just wondering if we have to fill the form of Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada (IMM 5257) for online Visa extension? this is an optional document.

also what kind of document need be to added in "client information" section..this is optional as well.
I am also wondering where I have to attach insurance policy at the online application..

Thanks, someone mentioned we also need letter from cic to apply pcc?

Not true, I applied for PCC for my mother at BLS and have received it in a week. All I had to do was write a letter stating I am sponsoring my mom for PR and need the PCC as part of that process .

I just need your opinion on my file progress. We submitted our parents' sponsorship file on May 16, 2019. We received letter from CIC on Sep 08, 2019 stating that our file has been accepted and application number was given in it. It says application received on both side on ECAS.

I am seeing a lot of people receiving biometrics request and medical requests. Any idea how long to receive next step ? Thanks

Is someone able to confirm what’s the average time being taken to finish the whole process. I have sponsored my parents who are in canada with me for next couple of months I am wondering if I should get an extension once I receive AOR so they can finish all formalities and landing and then return.

I sent in the application around 3rd week of June haven’t heard anything yet.

Is it that only after I receive AOR, I can link it online to check the status of application. Please help.
