Waiting for visa?

Hi guys. I applied for Montreal Lasalle College and the session begins on 26th august itself. I have applied under sds category. File was submitted on 26th july, biometrics was uploaded on 29th. Medical review was uploaded on 12th august. My batch is about to start, and i have got no response yet. Any information regarding this would be helpful. I am getting anxious now.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait. You applied quite late given your program begins at the end of August. It's quite possible you won't have a response in time and will have to defer your studies to the next term.

But do you know the exact timing embassy is taking for deciding sds visa result?

There is no exact timing. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Currently it says that we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. And under background check it says we are processing your background check. How long do you think this will take?

same thing with my visa OWP, since july 25 it has the same update, nothing change til now.

It will take a couple of days only. Trust me, You will get your visa within next week.

I hope i do. I dont wanna put it on next semester. I am already running late for everything. I get a maximum of one week extension from my college. I hope everything happens before that. Thanks although. Its a relief.

SDS applications are fast processed and you dont need to panic. My friend who did his biometrics on 23rd july got his visa 3 days back. Only in worst cases, processing takes more than 20 days and trust me, you won't be that unlucky. Be ready to fly soon

I know that mixed feeling of anxiety and fear. But things will take its own time. Be calm! You are going to attend the classes on time.

Same boat brother. Although my classes start Sept 3 but still im freaking out so I can imagine what you must be feeling.
I applied on 25th July and Bio updated on 26th. This is my second application. Med updated Aug 6.
I'm literally sleeping 4-5 AM in the morning, refreshing my inbox for a mail.

I have been doing the same. I think we will hear something from them next week. As worried as i am, i know it will all fall into place. Good luckk to you!!
