Hi everyone. Finally, today got my PPR on exact 9 months mark.

I have a question regarding my landing issues. My medical will expire on November 11 and if I submit my passport tomorrow, in most positive case, I will receive the COPR on September 22-25, 2019. In that case, I will have only 40-45 days to wrap up my things from my country whereas my current employment position requires a notice period of 90 days. Looks like unfeasible to me.

So can I issue an webmail to IRCC requesting to extend my medical expiry for minimum 4 months (before passport submission) or ask for re-medical?

Did anyone face this scenario yet and already mailed to IRCC?

After 272 days I also received today a request for re-medical. I took the exam on October 17th 2018. No movement until today, just a "met" for elegibility, with security and criminality not even started when I last called CIC on monday (August 12th). But now I see at my application that the background check has finally started. Let´s hope for the best!
Wow congrats!!

288 days here and I took the exam on October 16th 2018 but no movement in my case since eligibility was met.

Thank you all !! A lot of feelings throughout this process. It´s not yet PPR, but it´s an indication that they are trying to clear the backlog of 2018. I think we are all going to see updates soon =)

First of all congratulations! Each day someone else gets PPR gives me hope. I don't see why you have to wait to receive your passport back to give notice to your employer. If you give notice on Monday it will be close enough to the 90 days where they couldn't be too harsh on you. If not you could ask for vacation leave and do soft landing then come back and wrap things up. But that would cost more money since you'd have to pay for 3 flights. Hope things work out for you.

I don't think that's the case...... My medicals were cleared on 11 Feb 2019 , so as per that, it is one year..... So what I understand is that..... The medicals are valid one year from the date it got passed
Maybe not. mostly valid for exactly one year after its uploaded to their system. Not necessarily when passed. At least in my own case.

Congrats for your PPR. Being a silent reader, I see how depressed you were. But at the end , you got it.

I got my landing done and got COPR, but still open the forum atleast once in a day just to check whether you or Sithlord got the PR or not.

I am waiting for post from Sithlord, I don't know how he gonna write his post. Whether he will write in a single line & not able to express his happiness or he will write whole mahabharat.

All the best Guys.
I hope @SithLord writes an epistle. Praying for him.

well, why not put in your resignation request now. Do a minor landing in November and then go back to tidy up at home. That way you will be ready to finally do the major landing in Dec/Jan or anytime you are ready. Congratulations! Enjoy the moment.

You can email IRCC for extension of landing - and yes they may ask you to do re medicals. Also, best thing to do is stay with your job, and plan your move for next March or April.
Completing your 90 days and planning your landing in Dec, will not help you. The cold, finding homes, finding jobs etc.
