Today I have received Biometrics letter in my parent's MyCIC account. Please update.

So another case, My parents have been here in Canada since Jun 2017 on Supervisa . Still I got Biometrics request. Does anybody has requested CIC to reconsider this request? Just want to know. My parents has US Vis a and I can get this done at Fargo which is only 3:30 Hr drive so concern. Only thing is they dont have appointment until Aug 26, 2019

See the bright side your application is directly go to DM . Bio letter means DM for sponsor .

Congrats !.
You will see a DM tomorrow. The only thing you can request is extension but you don't need that as "Aug 26" is still within 30 days, so I suggest book your appointment ASAP

I would suggest you to go ahead and book the appointment, you wont find anywhere in US before 2 weeks I think. Sending a webform and getting a response back may delay your process, you never know when to expect a reply (in a day or a month) and that too favourable or not.
And you have got till sept 9th to do biometrics, if you got request today.

I think he is trying to decipher the indecipherable, which is: is there a trend for faster processing ?
To answer that question, there isn't, every file is different. I've had friends who have sent the files the same day as their roommates and one gets PR in 3 months the other is over 15 months and nothing, it's all the same with all IRCC processes, no trend, no reason, pure randomness....

I suggest @robreeves to relax, enjoy the weather and just let the process run its course, it's a long process (20 to 24 months), just because one person out of 250 in the tracker (which is already a very small sample given that there are 27.000 files to be processed) has already received PPR does not mean everyone will be as fast...

Agreed. I got DM2 and PPR based on pure luck. I believe I was the first to break 100 days over the years. Although my case is as simple as it can get, I believe major break through was my VO scrambled the regular processing sequences quite a bit to my favour so everything worked out perfectly in terms of timing.

I wouldn't use myself as a reference at all. I was originally expecting an end of year finish, or so about 6 months.
