Man I remember you being one of the most positive person in this forum, spreading positivity and motivation to others and reading this especially from you makes me sad :(:(:( This waiting really does hit people hard :(:(

Back on May 9th when I spoke to the agent, I was told Eligibility was Recommended pass, Criminality Passed, Security not started and that agent looked very confident that I will get a decision before my estimated new due date (June 11th) since my case only requires a final review. I was super happy when I heard that, and decided to start preparing for my new journey. Told all my friends, family I will be leaving soon. Started researching into places to live, flight tickets etc. I was excited about the arrival of the RFV. As I was getting closer to June 11th my excitement started to fade and the fear of uncertainty began to rise. June 11th came and gone and also the next due date July 26th and I am sure the next one will be here soon too August 29th.

After June 11th, I just decided it is best to move on with life because mentally it was getting too much. It still does hurt to see others getting PPR and landing in Canada and beginning their new journey. but at the same time it's also nice to know that someone else will get to live the life we dreamed off :)

These past few days I came to realize that making peace with it was the best decision. I have gotten so used to this waiting period that I'm actually really enjoying it. I even joke about it with the call centre agents :D:D:D The agent last week said he will send a fourth remainder and I will hear a decision by August 29th I replied to him, I will definitely call you back and you can send a fifth remainder :D:D:D:D
Dont be sad hahaha. Was just ranting. Truth is that its been such a difficult year for me professionally with massive reductions in my industry and having to lay off large numbers of staff, many of whom are my friends. So anything else that isn't working to plan or schedule is overplayed. One finds oneself always stressed despite best efforts to rise above it and see the big picture. Sometimes the big picture and the future are completely obscured, as though one is sitting in a dark room, disoriented, blind, stripped of all senses. The PR is the least of my big worries in comparison - but its still a big worry, and that is frustrating. I (and all of us Im sure) could do with less worry, and more certainty.

I continue to be happy that Canada is setting crazy immigration targets, so that people from across the world can have a chance to reset their fate within a safe, secure, progressive society. I'm not one of those saying that targets should drop if backlogs cannot be resolved. I prefer to wait in line for longer if it means that more of us have a chance to go through. But I do really believe that they should match the intakes with increased staffing and efficiencies asap (this amount would be a drop in the ocean on a national budget of a country this size) and that they should improve the communication with us, so that there is little to no confusion as to the progress of applications. They may not even know the impact of the delays on integration - how many people are opting out for other countries, like you, or will be so discouraged and demotivated that when they do immigrate they give Canada less of their best, and enjoy being there at less than its best? Their future workforce will be one of its most important resources - they could do better to engage with it, reassure it, and make the process smoother. If I ever get through, this will be my first letter to my MP.

Thanks Sith for the encouragement and I'm genuinely glad to see you back to positivism. Hang in there buddy, and I will too.

This group is amazing. Here, we share our frustrations then feel light and then talk about positivity. This really helps in going forward among constant worry. Wish all the best to those who have received their PPR and those who have not, let's pray together..

I finally sent a mail to Mr Ralph yesterday, below is his response.
How soon do you think I can expect the PPR???

I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Jan 9, 2019. It is at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Eligibility is met.

Criminality passed.

Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Dec 2019 and Mar 2020.

Hello,

I have been a silent follower of this thread for about a month now and I finally mustered up courage to speak up.

Firstly, congratulations to all the people who received their PPR request!!

However, I am from the lesser fortunate ones. So I received my AOR on 29th Jan 19 and my status according to gcms notes is review required for proof of funds.

I credited around 17000 CAD in my active account after I received an ITA from my local savings account. Do I have to submit an LOE for this?

Both the bank accounts are mine and I did an RTGS transfer so the bank account statement displays my name.

Please help!
I am in exact situation like you....

AOR 29th Jan 2019. My file is in CIO Sydney, NS and POF needs RR (Review Required). Until Jun 2017, I was working in the US. Later, I moved to India as company transferred me. When I asked my American Bank to issue a letter in IRCC prescribed format, they said "no" due to security concern (to avoid any fraud) because letter was suppose to be mailed to my India address. So I produced an affidavit and notarized past 6 months electronic statements. This affidavit is under "Review Required". I have provided Letter of Explanation along with my salary slips from the US to prove that account was my salary account and it is still active. Ironically, with same affidavit, I received PNP nomination without any issue or single question!!

I came to know about this when I applied for GCMS notes on 6th June which I received on 9th July. So I took a preemptive action and sent another letter of explanation with latest bank statement to prove that the account very alive and it is genuine account. This letter and bank statement has been received by IRCC but there has not been any action so far.

I called helpline on last Monday and agent told that file is in the queue and officer will review it but there is no visibility of timeline. I asked to send a reminder to officer because it has been more than 6 months but agent denied and asked to wait until officer review.

So bottom-line is that there is no way to expedite the application and we should wait patiently. I know waiting is much more difficult than one can imagine..Prayer for all..

Hi Guys,

My Application Status is as follows: Application under the FSW program (CRS:471)

Submitted: 2nd Jan 2019. Got the AOR the same day.
Medicals Passed: 12th Feb 2019
Gave my Biometrics on 25th Feb.

There is no update after that. On the profile, it is saying that my background verification is still in progress but they don't need any more documents.

It is long past the estimated completion time of 2nd July 2019.

Anyone else facing the same issue/Delay?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, been a silent spectator of this forum since page 57.. Been waiting for the mail to appear in my inbox, which happened today, 9th August 4:30 am IST.

Post Medicals and biometrics, there were no ghost updates whatsoever.

Mailed Mr. Goodale on 19 July - Status was Criminality passed, Eligibility and security not initiated.
CSE raised on 16 July - Reply received on 24 July - Criminality passed, eligibility initiated, security not initiated.

Was thinking of raising a webform, but the mail came in finally!!

Congratulations to those who got their PR today. Feels good when someone gets their PR, it gives a teeny tiny little hope to those who have been waiting forever.

Anyhoo, I had a question. My AOR is Jan 26, not a single update or a bloody GU since March. Emailed Ralph and got a pretty standard reply saying Criminality passed, eligibility & security not started yet! :-/

Every time I call CIC, they give me the vaguest answer possible. Has anyone tried telling the agent directly to raise an action item for the officer or send a reminder to the officer to pick up the file? Does that work?
I have always come across not-so-friendly agents who are not ready to divulge much.

Let me know.

Thanks!
Ditto
