The call agent that you earlier spoke to may have dropped some note to the concerned office and this is therefore the direct response from the office...my take...

P.S. BF/due date is the "bring forward date"

So this is the reminder the call agent sent to CPC Ottawa when you called last time. You received the reply for it today, it may be purely coincidental that as soon as you complete the call you got this reply. When did you call IRCC last time ? And did the agent tell you that he is sending a reminder to CPC Ottawa as your 180 days have completed ? I got a similar generic reply today from CPC Ottawa as the agent sent a reminder on last Thursday after I called.

I just spoke to IRCC regarding my Eligibility and Security, both are not started yet. As my 6 months time has been completed, agent said that he would send some reminder, and asked me to check the account for any updates like ADR's etc.
Received pretty generic reply for the reminder sent last Thursday.

I feel ya. I find it highly immoral that after repeatedly not hitting their own estimates, these guys then continue to remain as complacent as possible, with no ETA in sight, in what is an already transparency-bankrupt process..

Talk about lack of decisiveness.. If there's an issue with my file, reject me and let me move on with my life. If it's all good, let me through already! This feels like that clingy and confused girlfriend that will neither stay nor go..

Hi Dears

My case details are ..
AoR: Jan 17, 2019
MEP: Feb 26, 2019
Biometrics: March 03, 2019
Waiting for the good news ever since ...
Since, we applied though an agency and had reviewed our documentation many times we did not bother IRCC at all.
On July 19 (after 6 months were over), we raised a webform. On July 30, they said we forwarded your request. Today (August 05), we finally got a reply from CPC Ottawa:
******************************
Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.

Their internal email also mentioned that: The last BF/due date for this client's application was (2019/06/10).
************************

During the last two weeks, I also reached out to Ralph's office (against the instructions of my agency .. out of curiosity :) )
Reply was that Criminality is Passed. Eligibility, Security have not started.

Anybody else having a similar status? Should I be worried additional verification and review part of the IRCC response?
I need to plan my daughter's school session for September. And, I don't know if I should register for schools in Abu Dhabi or wait for PPR. Had never worried about the PR until now but there should be some realistic ETA.

PS. Thanks to all you wonderful people who keep the motivation levels high here. I wish we all make it to the Great White North very soon. All the Best!!!

The last time I called was 4 months into my application. I haven't called since till today.

I got the same exact message a few days ago, after a call where the agent said he'd send a reminder to CPC-Ottawa. AOR Jan 24th, same status as yours

More like a kick to the nuts.

it's harsh and somewhat uncalled for, but it's understandable. they are buried in work, their workforce does not keep up with the increasing demand and above all, they are the ones doing us a favor by letting us in. we should be grateful for this opportunity. even with a 12-month turnaround time, this is still one of the quickest permanent resident visa programs in the developed world.

Ok yes there is the bright side and I am only venting. But "increasing demand" and 'buried in work" is no excuse because no matter how much the demand increases, they are the ones controlling how many invitations get sent out. Essentially, they are not working any more than they originally plan to. So while they have such a painful backlog they're casually inviting more and more people, let alone the escalating demand..
And all of this would still be okay if the process was a little more transparent. I don't mind waiting indefinitely if I had more visibility on the process. Or I don't mind not knowing what's going on if there's a deadline. When there's neither a timeframe nor any transparency, that's extremely frustrating..

Agreed. But give an ETA. Just read a post of a person who got his PPR after 17 months. That is terribly long. As an applicant, I deserve to see a realistic ETA, so that I can plan my life and life events accordingly.
