Hey Guys,

I wanted to submit a "Use of Representative" form for my parents just incase CIC decides to send them something via regular mail (I dont want them to miss it, based on a few posts here looks like CIC is sending some correspondence through regular mail).

When I try to do it online through the IRCC webform it wont let me submit it without either a UCI or Application number. I do not have either because i have not received my AOR.

What do you guys suggest? Is it wise to submit this form at all at this point (I am May 17th Applicant)?

Thanks!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
That’s not true. Parent can stay every visit upto 2 year. Also, sometime you just apply online for the extension and they give you another 2 year stay. IRCC is very lenient with parent visit permit.
My parents are on super visa and I can confirm that super visitors only get the two-year stay on their first visit. We have even gone through the process of an extension when they were only given a 6 months stay but we were asked to go for the medicals again in Canada. I think medical is the reason that they don't want to keep on issuing 2 year stays on every visit as a person's health can change over a period of 10 years.

If you have provided emails for correspondence then IRCC will contact through emails.
For all the communication i.e. AOR (for sponsorship application), Additional document requests for first stage and Sponsorship Approval (SA) letter during the first stage (which is sponsorship eligibility) is sent to Sponsor
For 2nd stage (which is PA processing) will be sent to email provided on PA forms and if no email provided then to PA mailing address.
Thank You!

I just received this email from CIC. I check myCIC I don't see any progress bar.

Your application to sponsor your parents and grand-parents now has a progress bar, which shows the time elapsed since we received your application. The progress bar gives you an estimated completion date based on our latest processing times.

The progress bar is available only if you have linked your application to your online account. Find out how to create an online account and link your application.

Sign in to your account, take a look and tell us what you think.

Just got my progress bar update.

`You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.`

Estimated completion date: May 6, 2021

All right folks, I'll be back to this forum in early 2021. hehehe

My Parents got only 1 year re-stamp on supervisa after visiting USA for 3 months but without medical request. So it all depend on immigration officer I believe. She did ask for insurance and I only had insurance for year so she stamped for a year.

My mom got 2 year stay after already being here for 2 years then leaving for 1 month. I think it depends on the discretion of the officer

Hi,

Help needed.

My application was received on May 15 and My wife's application was received on May 17 in Ottawa for our Parent's sponsorship. We had a baby in June. I have my AOR but my wife is waiting for her's. When should we update the IRCC about the baby ? Should I wait for my wife's AOR first to avoid confusion ? We both are co-signers.

Thank you!
We had submitted the webform to inform about newborn. We got a response from CIC saying that our file isn't in the system yet and asked us to resubmit the updated information after we receive AOR. Hope this helps.

I think the progress bar update is more likely implemented to discourage people who are calling to inquire about their application status.

Be patient! It's going to take some time. Truth is most of our applications will be done only in the next year.

I totally understand why many of us are impatient. Worried about the election and govt changes. What can we do? Just wait and hope all goes well.
