Hi everyone Me and my family took and pass the exam May 21 and still waiting for our schedule for oath taking. We pass our application January 27 2019. Can I call cic for for schedule?coz we need to travel this coming December and we saw a cheaper flight to our home country but it has a layover in NewYork. We need to buy the ticket asap. Thanks.

Hi there, just fyi

According to what the immigration agent told me at exam day. She has not taken my resident card from me, because up to the day the person does the oath, the person is still "only a resident" and as such the person should use her own resident card if travel is needed before the oath day.

I hope this help you.

What he meant was to transit through US, you need either US Visa or Canadian Passport. So, if he is able to get Canadian passport soon, he can book that ticket and travel through US.

Hi whoever in this group applied as a family and got their status changed to Decision Made, please confirm if the status of your minor child has been changed to Decision made as well or still showing as In Process.

I just got my test invite (application received Jan 15) and the test date is August 28. But I just remembered I might have sent IRCC a color copy of my policy certificate, instead of the original, in my application package. Does anybody know if this might pose a problem? If so, would giving the officer the original during my interview help? Thanks so much

Hi everyone. I took the test/interview on july 19, 2019 and i passed and got a score of 20/20. The interview was really quick. The visa officer just checked my pr card, passport, health card and driver’s license and then asked me if i ever got into trouble with the police which of course is a no. My ECAS changed to decision made today. I’m from Edmonton. Please update the spreadsheet. Thank you!

Congrats. I woke up this morning with this terrible nightmare that I'd contacted IRCC (for some reason) and been told my application was indefinitely on hold due to a police investigation. And as far as I'm aware, I haven't broken any laws or consorted with dodgy people etc...!

Anyway, mine is still In Process and last update FP May 6th. Hopefully get some (positive) news before the snow returns :)

Hello everyone. I have my citizenship test tomorrow in BC. Can anyone tell me what happens during the interview after the test? Do they ask more questions or ask us to recite the National Anthem?

What do you mean?

LOL. No. They will just ask you the original documents like Driver's licence, health card, your PR card, your passport. They will verify the stamps with the dates on your physical presence calculator sheet.

Thank you. I’m pretty sure your citizenship application will go smoothly. You will get some good news soon.
