Canadian born baby with american mother getting American citizenship

Has anyone on here had to go through the process of getting American citizenship for their newborn baby?

I am Canadian by birth and my wife was born in the USA. We are married and she has been a PR for 1.5 years roughly.

We are expecting our first baby on August 21 and are really just looking to hear peoples experience in getting American citizenship for their baby.

Yes. I am American and my husband is Canadian. We had a baby 8 months after I became a PR. Load up the application for usa citizenship. There a rules for how much time your wife needed to be in the USA at certain ages. And she'll need proof of that. They told me education records are strong records. I brought taxes and employment. Goes pretty quick. Once you have everything together you all go to a USA embassy here in Canada.

She is probably good then. You'd need to look at the requirements to confirm. Been almost 2 since I looked myself. Pretty simple process.
