Hi everyone,

I landed in Canada to get the PR card from FSW Express Entry in May 2019 with COPR and visa, and returned to U.S. afterwards. Recently I received notification that my PR card has been mailed. I plan to go to Canada to get my PR card in August, however by that time my CPOR would expire. My friends told me that I would still be able to drive and enter Canada on rental car from border with CPOR and passport even the COPR is expired, however the Canada visa I received on my passport is a one-time entry visa. Could anybody confirm that it is safe and legal to do so?

Thanks for your help!

You already landed. You are already a PR. The expiry date on COPR doesn't matter any more. Yes you can enter Canada with your passport and COPR if you drive yourself. Alternatively, you can apply for a PRTD
