Just checked my eCAS and it said "Application Received" but it also had my previous address as mailing address and current address under home address. Not sure where they got previous address from (maybe previous records but I never used that address in my Citizenship app). I was able to fill that online form and request to update it.

Is it possible that an application may have gone in process without receiving any correspondence from CIC? I just called today and the guy I spoke with told me my file is in process and that I should be expecting some mail in 2months. But I never received anything till this point. I don't know what to make of that. It is a bit confusing to say the least because when I check ecas, I don't see anything.

I checked in ECAS yesterday and found that I had got a test invite:
Application Received: March 25 (Urgent Processing)
AOR: April 6
In Process: May 14
Test Invite: July 09
Test Date: July 25
I did not get any email or mail, So I do not know the venue of the test.
Congratulations. You are the first one who has gotten a test invite for urgent processing in 2019. Could you please share what was your basis for requesting urgent processing? Thanks.

Hello there? How did you check your address? When i tried to check my Husband's information on Ecas, there is only 1 address quoted - there was no difference between Home & Mailing...

Not exactly. There are a few applicants on the spreadsheet for urgent processing.

What is the number to call CIC?
First I submitted the docs in Feb 2019 returned on April (just in 56 days). Resent in April application received on April 25 but no response till now.

What is the number to call them?

Congratulations! Does your AOR e-mail come with an application number you can track/refer to when contacting CIC?
Yes the AOR does come with an application number.

However, if you have not yet received your AOR, you can use your UCI number and/or your payment receipt number when contacting CIC.

I don't have any update since my last note. I tried calling, but was not able to connect. I will try again today.
I have another question to this group:
My PR card expires in the month of Aug 2019. I however, might have some work out of the country requiring me to travel (official work related... not personal). This is most likely in Nov-Dec this year.
I put together the following options and trying to find information:
1. Can i apply for a PR card extension while i wait for the citizenship application to be processed? Will this have any implications on the timelines?
2. Can i travel out of the country and then apply for the PR document when i am out to be able to return back? Again, will this have any implications on the timelines?
3. Can i request for urgent processing after i submitted my citizenship application? Would my situation warrant an urgent processing? if so, what documents can i submit and how?

Thank you all!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead.

Your best bet is option 1, 4 weeks, $50. All this info is on CIC.gc.ca so you might want to double check.

Thank you so much for this. I checked CIC as well. The issue is, there is no clear answer with regards to the 'implications' on the Citizenship application that i have already submitted. both the topics i.e. citizenship application and PR extension are independent of each other on cic.gc.ca and hence reaching out to see if anyone had any experience with this matter, etc.
