You would have to check with WES in terms of degree equivalency for CRS score. I don’t believe you’d be able to practice nursing or midwifery in Canada. Both programs are longer in Canada. You would have to contact the licensing boards to determine if you can complete more training to get licensed.

Thank you for the response. I am planning to apply as a caregiver i mean the new pathway. I am currently working here in Hong Kong for almost 3 years. I wanna know if i passed the 1 year post secondary education because that’s one of the requirements of the new pathway.

Yes you have. Your midwifery course should count,

Though not confirmed, but some say IQAS gives better evaluation than WES. However, Processing time for IQAS takes longer.

I am also from the Philippines. I have a caregiver certificate for attending a 6 month caregiver program. However, the requirement to take up caregiver here in my country is just a post secondary education ( in my country equivalent to 2nd year college). Now , with the new Home Child-Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot, the requirement to get hired is a 1 year post secondary( equivalent to 3rd year college in my country). Would I qualify because of my caregiver certificate?

Hi everyone.

I am wondering if there's still an interview for the caregiver? Situational, something like that. Thank you in advance!
