1. Yes in most provinces, if either parent has a work/study permit, then minor children's school is free.

.but I didn't get exactly what you meant..I had my approved visa now ..i think I will get the study permit only at the port of entry..

I have another doubt..i am on study permit and if my husband is on dependent visa, whether he is eligible to apply for PR after 1 year continuous job at canada ,even if he didn't stay here for more than 1.5 years.i.e regardless of his duration of stay at canada
