Express Entry after global skills strategy

My (reputed tech) company is planning to transfer me to Toronto office permanently and has applied in the global skills strategy program (for a work permit of 3 years).

I am thinking of getting a PR using EE instead once I get there (my company won't do it cause they want to bring me back to US on H1, and even in this case it would be a backup).

Is it possible to apply in express entry and get a PR without the company knowing about it?
Should I contact consultants in Canada or India for this purpose?
