Hey everyone,
A quick question if someone can help me out.
Is there anyone here that showed self-employed work experience? Are they counted?
I am about to start working for a research institute as a consultant. I want to make sure of the documents that I would require to prove it as work experience.

@Seniors need your advice over here:
I am 26 years old (no age issue right now) with ECA as Bachelors and 3+ years of work experience. I have also maxed out IELTS(15/12/2018) (LRWS, 9,8.5,7,7.5) so presently my CRS is 438. My profile is in pool since 20 Feb 2018.

To increase CRS I have also taken admission in Annamalai University (PGDCA), simultaneously I have been actively applying in colleges in Ontario.

Hopefully, in a week or two I'm expecting an admit from Georgian College.

Please suggest which route should I take.

If I wait for Annamalai University I'll get transcripts and all in July-Aug 2020 and then ECA will take another 2-3 months after which my IELTS will expire(Dec 2020) and I'll need to re-appear.

On the other hand, If I successfully get admit from Georgian, classes will begin in Jan 19 and since it is also 1 yr course (with break) I'm planning to complete it by Sep 2020. I guess ECA is also not needed for it so I'll be getting ITA straight away.
@seniors please share your expertise over here..

Quick question guys
If you changed your spouse status from accompanying to non accompanying do they ask about the reason for not accompanying at this stage or after I get ita ?
And do you just change your family info or is there something else to do ?

How is it that your IELTS is maxed out with score of 438?? I have the same profile, just turned 25, and my score is maxed out at 441, with CLB 10 ( LWRS , 8.5,7.5,9,8)

Could you also share some info about the courses you applied to in Georgian College? Although my profile went into the pool on the 6th of June, I am still exploring options for the increasing the score
Bro I scored 7 in writing, cannot improve it further, so it is max as per me.

I have applied for Big Data Analytics in Georgian College..

I am applying as self employed. I asked a toronto based consulted firm who said it was ok. I have a company registered for my self employed business and most incomes are through business bank account or paypal. I have one big client a few smaller ones. Got reference from the main client plus 1-2 smaller ones.

Someone answered in another ray of thread that it may count as misrepresentation as you are only changing status to get more points and you do intend to apply for their visa later after you get to canada. You need to have a legitimate reason if they ask such as taking care of baby, not comfortable with foreign language and culture etc. and reasonable satisfy any officer asking that how it can be ok for you to leave your family just for visa.

When do they ask that question before or after ita ?

Thanks for the response!
This is my first time working as a freelance consultant so I am a bit confused. I do not have a registration yet but can get it done if required. However, they are willing to provide me with experience certificate and everything. I just would be working from home and won't be receiving any employee benefits.

So do you think I can show it as employment under the research institute (as they are willing to provide me with an experience letter and payment receipts) or should I register as a business owner too?

Edit: I also want to do this as short term employment while waiting for Canada to work out. Don't plan to do it in the long run.
Just one client - one contract to give me 6months of experience so that I complete my 3years of work experience for maximum score.

Wes is faster

***ECA***

Do you guys suggest any other ECA other WES ?

How about IQAS ?

IQAS is more reliable though.
WES often gives unacceptable evaluations such as evaluating a master's as a PG diploma etc.

I am myself stuck in 440's because of WES. If I had chosen IQAS earlier, would have been in 450's, and already have gotten an ITA in april itself.
