No my points with one year were 431 which where very less than cut off score.

1 year and 2 year is the same points only 3 and above gives you more points.

I am not sure about international work experience but canadian work experience points change with duration of work.

• One year of experience in NOC O, A and B- 35 points
• Two year of experience- 46 points
• Three year of experience- 56 points

i am FSW too I am in Canada but not completed 1 year work here yet so claiming only 1 year of experience back home . i tried putting 1 year more but the score is the same.. thats weird

Yes you have to complete the year before you get points for that. But because in express entry you only put month and year for work experience and not the date. CIC increase your points in the begining of that month of it is a current job. Or sometimes you get points for 2 years with 1 year and 11 months (like in my case i got them a month and half before actually completing 2 yrs).

I am eligible under both FSW and CEC because I came here as student and have canadian skilled work experience.
