The stress of unemployment coupled with an extremely high cost of living along with a bleak and cold weather means people quickly go into depression if they can't land jobs soon.
For people who are moving from usa and have dollars saved up they will be ok. But immigrants from south asia will be in for a shock.
Moving somewhere is a big decision, especially moving to another country. Everything is foreign, from environment, weather, food, lack of familiarity with the surroundings. No one said it’s going to be easy, even with a permanent residence on hand. What we can do is prepare a good mindset, that we’re going to make it no matter what. Take on whatever jobs we can find and be grateful while setting personal goals and sticking to the plan. Financially, even before coming into Canada, one must calculate the needs and budget accordingly (this is why in part CIC is setting a minimum settlement fund that corresponds to the size of a candidate’s family).

Bahaha...I'm ROTFL when reading your post, hahahaha...Just ignore them, dear :D:D
Apparently Canada only has two industries i.e IT and Banking.

Or maybe they now require you to be proficient in C++ before you can be given a management or a chef's job, or some work in medical or legal field lol.

Who knows if there are even any lawyers in Canada or just IT guys coding their way into courtrooms lol.

(Another situation that actually happened in an IT HoSpiTaL, where our beloved trolls wOrK.)

'Troll 1 - Patient 104 is going into a Cardiac arrest, what should we do!'

Troll 2 - LeT's cAlL tHe JaVa ExPeRt.'

Just curious, I’ve been thinking about this and please let me know if there is any validity to my thoughts.

The number of EE candidates who are in the 451+ seemed to jump in the last month, could it be because of the Spring semester Canadian graduates submitting new/updated profiles to reflect new degrees, etc?

And if that’s the case, maybe in a month or so the EE candidate pool will remain relatively high because foreign graduates will have their ECAs completed and enter the pool?

Yes, that may definitely be one of the main reasons. International student graduates are updating their profiles and are moving up in the pool in terms of CRS. There are a lot of graduation rites happening in the past few weeks. So just imagine the influx of new people in the pool or people who are already in the pool but have now increased their points. Another group would be those who received PNP nominations in the last couple of months. Do expect the cutoff score to be high in the range of 450-465 in the next months.

People (especially 450+) panicking over recent ITA scores really need to assess their emotional capability to handle the forthcoming struggle once they migrate.

But would also mention pessimists who know jackshit about the likelihood of how scoring is done.. they can take the balls in their court and filter the dirt they throw on forum.

PS: balls in their court doesnt fit here but its a hint :p
Don't really think it's necessary to start commenting on other people's emotional capability. Getting an ITA is a current hurdle, so that's the one people are focusing on. No point preparing oneself for the forthcoming struggle of migration if the ITA never even materializes. People focusing on the struggle of settling in etc. are on other threads.

Some people are worried at 463, some at 450, some at 448. No point attacking others, everyone is just hoping for the best.

Agree with this. That is why CIC has required and emphasized that settlement fund should not be loaned or you do not have any pending major debt in your country once you leave for Canada. I think if one should fail to realize this, then what Navinball is saying will surely happen.

Migrating to another country is not a joke and should be studied and planned out carefully. If a person just decided to migrate because of sheer impulse or peer pressure then suddenly ask their parents for settlement funds or loan it from the bank, then you are truly bound to be doomed. It should be treated as a life changing opportunity. Not just a mere work opportunity. Just imagine, the rest of your succeeding clan members will be in Canada in the foreseeable future because of the sacrifice and steps you have undertaken to achieve that life long dream.

Many tend to take this for granted. Migration should not be seen merely because of escaping your current situation, but should be seen as life long journey to achieve something bigger.

I am thinking about non-accompanying spouse option now. I know it is so hard to be apart. But that's seems to be the only option I can see at the moment since high traffic above 450.
I hear both pros and cons on this. Still thinking what to do. Sooo lost. :(

More cons than pros.
The BIG pro is getting a job by running around and settle before calling the spouse in.

Speculating whether one will get ITA is not worth spending time on. We have made it till here, we could utilize time effectively by planning ahead or plan an alternative in worse case scenario. Also its always said, to think a step ahead. Migration is a wholesome decision where you need to factor in all elements.

I have said it before as well, people should not lose their hair over this ITA hurdle, but should also assess what lies ahead. Once you see the whole picture, ITA would seem a small hurdle and not something worth getting panicked about.

Exactly, am also planning the same.. but will there be any questions raised due to this? Would they ask why are we leaving spouse behind?

Hi Guys, need a guidance please, my university is located in a remote location in J&K, they do not have any tie up with courier company for sending documents to WES, will it be fine if i can book DHL pick up by myself by paying in advance and DHL picks up the documents directly from university and delivers to WES. The name of sender will be university. Any guidance or feedback please? Apology in advance if this is not the right forum.

I am also from J&K ,what is the name of your university ?

Sure they will. We have to give a valid and reasonable answer. Stating that you alone were able to score high will not be appropriate.
