Good afternoon does anyone know how long a appeal takes ? I am from Ontario so it will be in Toronto

They say between 16 months to 18 months maybe less than ..

i have a daughter of one year, do they still have strong doubts about the genuineness of our relation?

Usually this is almost a guarantee pass, just make sure you and your spouse do a DNA test to strengthen your case. I have seen cases that couple got denied even with a kid, but this is due to fact that the sponsor was caught with marriage of convenience in previous sponsorship aka (sponsor someone in the past and the marriage is fake or the sponsor was sponsored by a Canadian to obtain his/her PR and the marriage is fake)

I was an eligible sponsor at the way through, I did receive approval as a sponsor too. They rejected me after the procedural fairness letter, say my evidence was'nt enough to show my intention of moving back after my husband got the PR. its really crazy, its been all my dream to move back, I was waiting for the right time, which is being financially independent and sufficient.

Thanks JYC one more thing to ask how much time they take in court room, i got letter of full hearing where they have mentioned 9 am to 5 pm.

I can answer this our appeal in Toronto was booked for all day and lasted close to 5 hrs.with 20 min break.

Denied in May 2017. Recieved blue book Oct 2017 just had our Appeal in Toronto in February 2019 . Appeal booked for full day. Ours took under 5 hrs with 20 min break in the morning. I was questioned first. Then we were supposed to stop for lunch but we continued on with councel and judge request I call my husband and he was on a speaker phone.I could not intervene during his interview and testimony. He was asked the same set of questions I was. We represented ourselves no lawyer. We studied blue book and refusal letter and compiled alot evidence. Most over looked and not even looked at . We had his parents his brother my son and a close friend on stand by for our witnesses to our marriage and genuine relationship none were contacted.Although we did choose to have their interpreter present .Be confident and show how well you know each other including family jobs and future plans. Hello, does anyone know: after wining the appeal they ask for medical and PCC and biometrics, once everything is done and sent, how long does it take to get the passport request for visa? Thanks

Good morning,
I can only advice you not to disturb yourself about all those questions just take your time do things you are and let them send the request at the right time. Cases are different as so many applicant still on the wait game, so dont let anyone raise ur temper... I hope you will agree with me. God bless you

I totally agree with you. But I have waited 3 years and it is just not coming to an end. What a big frustration and mental torture by immigration.

Me too we waited almost 2.5 years last month we had our appeal hearing now waiting for decision letter
Definitely they want to change this system for spouse category

But if you stress it will still come to the same thing so just calm continue to email the minister, your vo and Ottawa ask questions am certain u will get response, my application is since 2015 but I try to manage the stress and frustration that attached to it. And dont pressure them much so they come out with bad response.

Have faith and be prayerful you will get ur decision letter. I did my appeal on 25/09/2018 nd did not get answer till 13/12/2018 but I got the email on 27/12/2018. So u can see appeal won 13/12/2018 but got the email 27/12/2018, if you add all together its all waste of time, then file did not get to my vo in time. They receive my file towards end of January, 2019. Look at that now

As I win my full hearing on 27 September 2018 on the spot while decision letter I receive on 16 October 2018 and then on 28 December 2018 I got request from Ottawa for documents with medical pcc and all which I submit on 27 January 2019 my wife visit to me and we stay three months together during that time I contact with mp as he told me your file is in London visa office for processing I send email to them they says your file is in Ottawa I call to immigration and they says yes your file here so after ten days again I call for status updates so they told me that your file is in London visa office I contact with them so they says yes now your file is waiting for assigning immigration officer
Really give me a lot of stress and tension make me a depression patient
While my passport expired now and I am going to renew and send them let see what’s they do now
