Hello Everybody, just wanted to write this to keep a reference for people who might get desperate about their application. I am CEC applicant (jan 2nd 2019) and I just called a cic agent and told me that my app got APPROVED!! I was under review required for my Canadian employment and my score dropped!! I was shocked when i saw this on my notes received 8th of may (ordered 8th april). I asked the cic at that time an agent told me that they think your NOC was wrong. I was confident my noc was right but maybe the job description was vague! I was advised by a well known consultant that my app will be rejected for sure and i need to withdraw my application!! I was seriously devastated!!! I didn't listen to him instead I sent a new employment letter to better clarify my job duties, they received it on may 24th and my application got approved on may 28th!!!! I doubt they even saw the new letter. so now I am waiting for a landing interview in Etiobocke office! I am just writing this to let you all know that consultants are seriously bul**** and if you think you made a mistake go ahead and fix it, don't assume your app will be for sure rejected and don't withdraw it!!! thanks a lot! <3
That's great!!

I have been saying this from the beginning. Canadian PR process is very simple and one doesn't need a consultant. There are handful of very knowledgeable people in this forum who are capable of guiding you better than these consultants. So save the money :)

Hey guys,

I have couple of things to clarify on
1. Does background check starts after eligibility has been passed?
2. What exactly do they check in background check?

Thanks

Congratulations!
You were lucky. My application is approved on April 11 and I'm still waiting for interview email. They told me it can take 3 months for Vancuver VO as they are super backlogged.
Hi @kattarrina ,

I have a question: you are probably an inland applicant and when you get the interview scheduled, can you go to the border crossing instead and do landing right-away?

Hello good people. Quick question. I requested gcms notes on April 5 and still haven’t received them. Do they email them directly? Has anyone experienced such a delay?

This is for a FSW inland application. VO Ottawa AOR Nov 25, 2018. MEP passed January 8. No update since. Called in, was told they haven’t even reviewed my eligibility. .

I think for now I’m going to focus on gcms notes.
How you ordered them? Because I ordered through getgcms on 6th may and recieved them on 5th june through email.
Check your spam as well

Guys, I received Australian State Nomination from Canberra . Didn't see that coming :D:D:D:D The email was in my spam folder for past 3 days ::):)

I got nominated with 65 points, lowest score to receive nomination in recent draws.

Last year, I rejected EOI from Australia when I got Canada ITA, a decision I regretted even more in the last few weeks. Now I am going to think about this over the weekend and decide whether or not to pursue on this journey since I am really getting tired of this Canada nonsense :):):):):)

Very happy and thankful that life has given me another opportunity :):):)
Hello
Go for it. You are lucky one to get it as Australian immigration is so strict these days and for inland applications minimum points reached to 80 for some occupations for invitation.
Quality of life and specially pay scale is so better in Austrslia as compared to other countries. You should not miss this opportunity again. Please proceed with it. No harm in applying for it.
Good luck.

Sorry to jump in. I am a CEC inland and got my landing already this week. Not sure what your concern is but when they schedule an interview you are basically doing the landing at the same time. So, you will get your COPR on that day which you will use to get a new SIN number and change the status of your health card (in my case Ontario health card). Your PR card will arrive at your address in 4-6 weeks.

Hi @sumylili

Congratulations! And thank you for the reply.

I just wondered in case the landing interview is scheduled in 3 months or other long waiting period of time, can you just go to the border crossing or fly to Mexico for a short vocation, come back and get landing done at the airport?

Thank you!! I am not sure about that but I don't think you can make that choice. I believe if you are planing to do the landing after a short trip you will still need your COPR which you don't have

Long time ago, I was told my estimated completion date was pushed to June 11th 2019.

So let's see what happens next week :)
So, I spoke to an agent again today about the wrong adr sent to me......
For the first time the agent agreed clearly, that yes it was a mistake....
first - Documents asked were for dependant..... But they were asked under my name
Second- They asked for those documents which I already submitted in the previous adr
And Third - which was a blunder, that they started the request letter like this....
This is in reference to ur temporary residence in Canada......
Can u imagine...... I have been waiting for more than 7 months...... And now.... Instead of writing permanent residence, they wrote temporary residence.
Anyways what is important is, that they agreed der were few errors :)

So, the moral of the story is, whenever you get adr, check and recheck...... Something can be wrong from der side as well. :)
