Would I be able to extend my study permit on the day it expires?

Would I be able to extend my study permit on the day it expires? Or am I screwed and have to apply for the restoration? If so, would I be able to keep my job and just not work, or do I have to lose it altogether?

Your application to extend your study permit must be received by IRCC on or before the day it expires. Otherwise you have to apply for restoration.

You cannot work while out of status in Canada.
