I've asked them how the whole process works and why it takes some time, and thats what they replied to me on the phone, also once file is transferred to your country specific local VO they have limited access to your application

The only things that really takes time is AOR1 and BGC. This is what an ircc agent told me, once recieved (paper application) it gets tossed inside a room and sits in que, once started its pretty quick from there if no additional documents required and same goes when your file gets transferred to Local VO's, again it sits in que until someone grabs it.. its not how they operate, its normal just shitty that super busy VO's are lacking manpower
Since BGC takes some time, would i be correct to assume its actually started before GCKey changes to BGC started processing? I noticed some people received ppr immediately after BGC started.

It says, "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." That may not necessarily be true.

Im generally speaking about countries with high volume trend of marriage frauds occur. If you visit the PAKISTAN LVO thread here, you will see constant questions regarding marriage, additional documents required, to provide more info, etc etc. It just shows how alot of agents are not fully convinced. Not all VO's outside of Canada are slow, I know of some that are consistent with 6-8 months tops. I've caught some people there asking if they can divorce once landed in CANADA, like WTF??
No wonder LVO is super slow.

Ok. So in some cases may not see update until all completed or close to completion.
Like what I've stated before AOR1 and BGC are the longest but once started, your application along with updates are quick. Its just a matter of when the agent gets to open your file and the complexity of it. Also you can tell once you've received AOR1 - SA - Medical request soon follow right away and goes quiet when file are transferred to another location. Lastly, If you are just sponsoring one person (spouse/husband) its much quicker than sponsoring multiple family members. Just think of it this way, if your status say "No additional documents required" then it's all good and dandy, just have to wait the que.

Called this morning and spoke to a representative and he said for outland applications they are currently processing an application received up to July 24, 2018, and verifying that the sponsor is eligible. The representative stated that we should hopefully receive notice in the next 2 weeks....here is hoping for all of still waiting.

I have 5 months left in the process and my file has not moved out of Sydney. We are still waiting to be transferred to Mexico. I applied in November and at that time biometrics was not required,

Just be patience, my file spend 7 month in Sydney before it was transferred to my VO , only God knows how they operate sometimes, very ridiculous and painstaking but is all game of waiting.

Its sad but Mexico VO has one of the worst transfer times of all the other VO’s (5 months and more in some cases). I hope they do standardise the process or atleast improve the transfer times.
