Got confirmation yesterday that the file has been "in transit" for the last 1.5 months. So no one has looked at it for that time, basically.

Did u ever try calling them and asking why it is not transferred?
If and give a generic answer, that the processing time is 12 months ... I find it totally ridiculous that many applications are stuck in Sydney while many of later months have already been transferred.

my wife have applied family class sponsor outland application. 17th April application was submitted and revived correspondence acknowledging receipt from CIC..
does correspondence acknowledging receipt is same as AOR?? and what will happen next

That is AOR yes. The email will state this ‘This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on ...’

Next would be waiting for Biometric Instructions Letter. Medical Instructions Letter, Sponsor Approval, File Transfer and further processing after transfer not necessarily in this order. If you have a gckey account and have linked your application, all the letters will come there and you will be notified through email when there is a message in your account. If you have not linked GCKey you’ll get an email directly for both the letters.

Anyone here who has submitted their passport and received their COPR via VFS Mumbai? How long did it take to get your passport back?

Hello guys,

I submitted my documents for sponsorship on 31/12/2018.
Up till now I am still stuck in the SA (Sponsor Approval) phase. Is it a bad indicator? Will they reject me after this long period?

Are there statistics for Dec applicants?

Hello all,

My wife is landing on July 06, 2019 in Winnipeg, Canada from India. I have few questions to ask in regards to certain things :

1. Not really sure but if anyone has completed landing procedure at the Winnipeg Richardson Airport for Permanent Residence can you please share your experience ? How was the process ? Were there any issues landing ? Most of the people do landing in either Vancouver or Toronto but since she got flight from Delhi - Dubai - London - Winnipeg so her port of first entry in Canada is Winnipeg.

2. She is coming from India and has some gold jewellery to bring here. What is the best way to bring gold jewellery to Canada and does it has to be declared to Indian Customs that she is taking all her jewellery to Canada ? If yes, what is the procedure for that ?

3. She would be having 2 suitcases with her and those suitcases would have the list of accompanying goods that she would be carrying that day and will declare them at border however she has lot of stuff that would be coming later via courier so she would be filling good to follow list. The question is that once the CBSA officer stamps the paperwork of goods to follow list does she has to send that paperwork to the courier back in india to bring the stuff duty free or can we can send the courier without paperwork and once the courier arrives here in Winnipeg just go and collect it from CBSA by showing paperwork for duty exemption ?

Thank you in advance for all the help :)

Congrats! I do not see biometrics request? You did not do it yet? Or you do not have to give biometrics.... happy for you!

Thank you, yes i do not have to give biometrics, because i have applied in Dec 2018. Yet there is a possibility to ask for bio metrics, it depends on Visa Officer. Wishing you all the best with your file :)

Thank you a lot! Wishing you all the good in Canada with your spouse as well!!! :)

Thanks a lot...its Fun (Kids) & Frustration (Wife) both......;):)

Hey all,
I know it is a very common question and also sure many of you already experienced this or heard it before.
In my situation, when I already have SA and received AOR 2, will that be a problem if I visit my spouse back home for 3 weeks? I am not a Canadian Citizen yet, so I know the rule is if Sponsor is a PR, he/she has to be in Canada while application is going on. Can anyone share his/her opinion and/or experience? Would be very helpful. (My application is in Singapore VO now)
Thanks so much in advance.
