Hi guys, finally got the golden email (passports requests) today at 6:36 PM! 23 days left for the 6 months deadline.
Ok, so my timeline:
Me and my husband, I am the principal applicant. Both in Toronto.
AOR: Dec 21
Documents sent: Dec 22
RCMP Fingerprints from my husband only requested: Jan 21
We sent it: Feb 8 (I think)
Update to Review of additional documents to N/A : May 27
Request of new document (family history of my husband): May 28
We sent it: May 28
Passports request email: May 29

Ok, so, just to see if I got it right, in the email is written: "If you hold passport(s) from countries whose citizens need an eTA to travel to Canada or hold passport(s)/travel document(s) issued by the United States, you DO NOT need a Permanent Resident Visa to be affixed in your passport. Please do not send your original passport(s). "

Brazilians only need an eTA to come here, so we don't need to send our passports, right? Only the photocopies etc.

correct, you need to send only photocopies. Is the same with me, I'm from a country where only ETA is required and I just sent photocopy of my passport.

Congrats on your PR!

Not sure if there is anyone from Ottawa on this thread but I thought I would share my landing experience.

I got my COPR in the mail at 1pm today and I decided to try my luck and see if Ottawa IRCC office was doing walk in interviews for landing.
Reached there at 1:36pm. Security guards asked me what I was there for and said I’m lucky since it wasn’t 2pm yet.
He took my copr and asked me to take a seat.
An officer called me 5 mins later, asked for COPR, passport and one photograph. He then asked the basic 3 copr questions and then asked me to sign off on the COPR.
He then said the golden words “congratulations you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”. Explained a few rules of Pr, stamped my passport and I was on my way. In and out in 20 mins.

Good luck everyone who is waiting; it’s going to come. Don’t lose hope.

Wow its like a movie :p

Processing time - 23 days

Just submitted the additional document that CIC requested for: proof of common-law - IMM 5409.
On my profile it shows that it was transmitted successfully.

Do i get any notification that they received the document?

So, apparently what I did was I contacted my MP by email earlier today and explained my situation (as I hit 6 month mark yesterday). MP's assistant sent me an email back real quick and asked me to sign a consent form. It's not even end of the day and she has already gotten back at me with details. Honestly, it wasn't really helpful other than they are currently reviewing my eligibility and so far, no red flags and they haven't even started on my security yet. She told me to contact her again after July 10th if nothing has happened on my end.

I'm honestly very pissed off because I know my application is far from being done and I can still be rejected. I appreciate the extra details that I got from the MP office but it's really upsetting that I have to wait for like another 2-3 months for this to be done. I'm literally unemployed right now and while I'm waiting for my BOWP, most employers are really reluctant to hire someone with 'implied status'.
