Being asked for additional info...1) Police certificate for home country and any other country that you have stayed >6 months. 2) more evidence for cohabitation (even though we have provided a lot of proofs already)

Good Luck everyone!

What did you initially provide for proof of cohabitation?

We have submitted insurance policy, credit card statement, bank account etc. However, our case is a bit complicated as we were on the trip living together in the first 7-month. So we supplied all the bus/ train tickets and asked family and friends to draft some letters.

But i think I cannot get their check boxes filled with a tick :(
so that's why they requested more....

I have a question about getting criminal record at my home country. My country requires me to send finger print, which they mention in the website i should go to police to do that. They need the finger print plus the name and rank of the officer.

I am in ottawa ontario. I have searched a lot of info but still don't know where i should go. do you guys have any advice or experience?

thanks!

Hello,

How did you know when your background started? Did you get an email or gckey? Thank you!
Hello,

I did not receive an email, I have just been checking my GcKey periodically and it changed from "Not Applicable" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" on May 17. I have been checking my ECAS periodically as well but it has not updated to reflect this.

Anyone sent their owp app Jan 25th? Have you been approved?
Hey Kristoph29,

We are still waiting for approval of the OWP. We suspect it will be issued on June 27, 3 months after resubmission. We have drawn this conclusion based on the dates the December applicants received their OWP (exactly 3 months after resubmissison) and we realize that each application is different:

We would also love to have it earlier and hope that the January applicants get them sooner.

Good luck

Hi Kylger, thanks for the info. It saddened me honestly. I just hope we get ours too soon. Cant wait to work as my husband is the only one who supports for our needs. Do you have plans of making a follow up call?

Hey Kristoph29,

Yes one income is hard, we are in the same situation. We do not have plans to call yet. We will continue to watch the forums and keep a record of when applicants get approval after they have resubmitted due to insufficient payment. Once we hear that Early January applicants are getting their approval then we will hope ours will not be long behind. Keep in mind there was the Christmas break so we might have a week or two earlier then expected. But we will see what the next month brings.
