I know that. That’s why I said I am still calm because that will take time. The moment I got the invitation I am so thrilled and positive because finally I got the chance. And now all I need to do is to patiently wait what will be the next thing to do.
I am reading the posts here and I can’t stand those who are whining and complaining. I know they feel anxious and worried but they got the chance already then yet it is not enough. I feel bad to those who didn’t got the chance to fill up the Interest to Apply form. Then just waiting for the ECAS updates upsets them. I’m like come on, you know what I mean.
I agree with the way you think... However, the problem is inconsistency and not impatience. The fact that some people are able to check the status and some not makes people anxious and curious as to what's really going on. Some people even go to the extent of overthinking and assuming that their ECAS status isn't showing up because they did a mistake in filling the form or maybe it wasn't accepted by CIC due to some human error they may have made while filling the application.

Issue is with family unit in EOI which was taken as family size by some members.
What you saying is all correct
Thank you for the clarification.

Is there a way to request a copy of EOI ?
I forgot to print a copy for my records before submission.

My husband is planning to apply for parents sponsorship in 2020 and I will be his co-signer. I will be on Maternity leave from September 2019. That means we might not meet income eligibility for year 2019. And if we get selected can we write a letter to immigration Canada that I am on maternity leave? Would that be acceptable? Do you think we will be eligible for parents sponsorship? Please someone respond thank you!
try to compute first your husband’s income and yours too maybe you guys will be qualified. But if not I am sorry but don’t fill up the interest to apply because I don’t think letter will work. Maybe your husband has to work more if you think the current income is not sufficient. It is only May there is more time to catch up income wise. Good luck.

Does the Cic corresponds with sponsor or primary applicant for any update to the application.

Is the correspondence made through email or residential address

Does any one has idea.

I have read a lot of people are discussing the family size issue in EOI vs family size on the actual forms. I am confused as to what was required.
My understanding is as follows:

  • EOI: family size should be with parents included
  • Forms: family size should be with parents included for all three year 2016, 2017 and 2018
Please correct me if my understanding is wrong
EOI had separate fields for current family members and members to be sponsored. In forms it's adding these two.
But lot of people made mistakes due to discussions before submission of EOI, incl me.:(

based on the description in this question you should mention travels made only if the person was not employed and had a gap in employment. Then there is no indication of in or out of their home country.

Hi everyone,
I just would like receive feedback from those who has been into this type of situation or noticed someone....

I sent my parents file to Ottawa through Xpress mail through Canada post. Online only showing last scan out for delivery but no confirmation yet. After 4 days I created escalation ticket and response from Canada post is, typically they don't do final delivery scan due to large amount of mail deliveries to CPC address but gave me assurance that mail/currier has been delivered. I have continued try to get my self eligible for last 4 years and final got chance this year.

Has anyone ran into this type of issue before? you feedback on this would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

My situation is exactly like yours. CanadaPost just says “most likely” it got delivered, but the tracking still shows “out for delivery”. This is my third year trying for pgp. I am thinking of sending another application package as “most likely” doesn’t help me much. I had taken the signature option as well but CanadaPost just threw their hands in the air. They say they cant do anything now nor can they confirm that the package was delivered. Not sure what happens if CIC receives 2 application packages.

You sent a link of sponsor your spouse or other people..

on parents guide, its different

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5772-application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html

5. Place the barcode page on top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it.
I clearly stated at the bottom that the link taken from spousal sponsorship but would it not be applicable for all other applications as well under cic. Trying to apply some common sense and find answers..

I am in the same boat. My understanding is that you are correct. 2 separate applications: one for parents and one for your grandmother.
As with the envelope, I am planning to submit two different envelopes and include the same invitation letter in both of them. Also explaining in the explanation letter that this application is only part one of the two.

My main reason for sending two envelopes is the following sentence from the application guide (step 4 submit application):

"We don’t accept multiple applications in one package"

I have also called a CIC agent and she had NOOOOO clue about this. So I had to read the guide to her and point her to different places. Then she agreed with me :p
Thank you for confirming. Appreciate your feedback.

Hi guys,

I haven't received a response to my question, but let me rephrase it briefly:
Can I certify a copy of an original document at a notary public or must the certified translator do it at a notary such that the translation is stamped by the notary as well?

Thanks!

P.S. Be careful with translations! Some agencies in Canada charge 2-3 times more than others and do not certify copies at a notary public!
