The chances of getting asylum from Granda are very low except for maybe someone who is part of the LGBTQ community that has proof of persecution. Unfortunately just because you have family support in Canada or have established yourself doesn’t mean you have grounds to stay in Canada. If so, all people without status or refugees would all get approved. The working under the table will be a negative during your applications.

If they are out of status - then applying for a work permit is not possible. It's also not possible to apply for PR through any economic immigration stream.
H&C is the only option but has very low chances of approval.
