Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
These must be displayed in periods and the amounts are found on line 150 of your NOA of each year.
If your spouse is co-signing the application, you will fill out his/her income on the next page, following the same format.
How to establish your family size: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1460&top=14

Periods:
2019-01-01 to Present
2018-01-01 to 2018-12-01
2017-01-01 to 2017-12-01
2016-01-01 to 2016-12-01

For 2019 you can do a YTD but they most likely won't look at this at all since nobody have NOA's for 2019 and nobody can tell how much they will make at the end of this year.
I appreciate your answer to question. Just to make a small correction. We need to include full month of December also.
Periods:
2019-01-01 to Present
2018-01-01 to 2018-12-31
2017-01-01 to 2017-12-31
2016-01-01 to 2016-12-31

I only want to sponsor my mom with my 18 y/o sister. My dad abandoned us 15 years ago, moved to a different country and now has a new wife. Mom and dad are not divorced yet. My question is do i still have to count my dad as a dependent? If i count him my income will be insufficient for 2016. Is there any way to exclude him from the count? I’m not planning to sponsor him now or in the future. Is it okay if I don't put him in the dependant section of the forms? Would a letter explaining the situation be enough to satisfy the immigration officer? For my mom’s marital status, should I put Legally Separated? But I’m worried because they don’t have court documents to support that. I'm so worried it might get rejected if he's not included in family size. I'm so stressed!
I’m hoping for any advise please. Thank you!
A letter of explanation should suffice.

This does not ask for anything. But sometimes information is embedded in the guide. I just want to confirm to avoid any issue. They may ask for it in the future.
That is literally the checklist of what has to be sent. If it is not listed there, isn't mandatory.
If you want to send it anyway, I'd suggest putting at the very end of the application with a cover letter saying "additional documents" or something to the same effect.

Oh and I have just noticed you are referring to your parents proof of income. That is completely irrelevant to this application as IRCC wants to make sure the sponsor meets MNI, not the parents.

hello everyone,

I am confused a little about the family size?

I am only sponsoring my mother. Does my father need to be included? I don't meet the income cutoff for 6 members for 2016 by 6000 dollars but for 2017 and 2018 I am okay.

I wasn't aware the spouse of the parent needed to be included in the family size hence this problem only for the year of 2016. Please help.
You will have to add your father to the family size even if he is not coming.

yeeeeeeeeeeeees

To calculate your family size, include:

  • yourself
  • your spouse or common-law partner (who could also be your co-signer)
  • your dependent children
    • only include your children if they meet the definition of a dependent child
    • for young children, only include them starting on the year they were born (see example 2)
  • your spouse’s or partner’s dependent children
    • only include children who meet the definition of a dependent child
    • for young children, only include them starting on the year they were born (see example 2)
  • any other person you (and your co-signer, if applicable) may have sponsored in the past, for whom you’re still financially responsible
  • the parents and grandparents you want to sponsor and their dependants (spouse or partner and dependent children). You must also include
    • any dependent children who won’t come to Canada with your parents or grandparents
    • your parent or grandparent’s spouse or partner, even if they won’t come to Canada
    • your parent or grandparents’ separated spouse

:) IMM5768E, Question 14

I am not sure, I saw many people asking for the same question and I am one of them, I think if IRCC want to know our income in a specific year then they can themselve check from line 150 of the NOA, or they can ask to input income from each year in each line and not ask about employers.
I guess they are asking the gross income and employer to make sure income from each employer we earn.

if anyone can endorse that below is correct method to fillin then it would be good .

From Aug-2016 to Dec-2016 I made 40,000 for an employer "W"
From Jan-2017 to Dec-2017 I made 120,000 for an employer "W"
From Jan-2018 to Aug-2018 I made 80,000 for an employer "W"
From June-2017 to Dec-2018 I made 60,000 Job 1 for an employer "Y"
From Jan-2016 to Dec-2018 I made 10,000 Job 2 part-time for an employer "P"

So I wrote it as below

FROM TO | Employer Name | Address | Phone | Gross | Family size
Aug-2016 to Aug-2018 | COMPANY W | xxxxxxxx | Empl Cell | $240,000 | 1
Jun-2017 to Dec-2018 | COMPANY Y | xxxxxxxx | Empl Cell | $60,000 | 1
Jan-2016 to Dec-2018 | COMPANY P | xxxxxxxx | Empl Cell | $10,000 | 1

* All numbers are just an example

Oh so additional dependent form does not apply for my mother as she is dependent.

Add'l dependent form IMM0008DEP should only be filled out if you have more than 5 dependents (adding the 6th dependent and so on). The IMM0008 can support adding up to 5 dependents. In your case, father is Principal applicant + Mother (dependent) both goes in IMM0008.

Hello Guys,

There are two forms which have barcodes (Sponsorship form and Principal Applicant form). Do we need to place the bar code (both forms) at Top of the application or on top of individual form (as first page). What should be the final order - Invitation Letter, BarCode (s), checklist and forms/documents?

Thanks !

it should be the final order - Invitation Letter, BarCodes, checklist and forms/documents etc.

I am confused about the fees. If I sponsor both parents, shall I pay 1040 (Sponsor your parent) + 1040 (Include the spouse or partner of your parent)?
