HI everyone!
I needed a little advice on the Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship form, question 14 referring about the Employment History for the last 3 taxation years. I have worked many temp jobs at many offices. I am very confused as how to add all of this jobs. I've filled it and then erase and then filled it back again, not sure as of how to place it. as an example, if I worked say in January 23, 2018 at an office only that day in the whole year, should I put From January 23, 2018 to January 23, 2018 and then add my income for that day on the Gross income table? Or should I add it as 2018 01-01 to 2018- 12-31? What do you guys think, any suggestions. I have many many of this cases and very confused.
Thanks
That there are many more rows than just 3, suggests that you should list it each employer. Not that it necessarily makes sense, and they will be relying on NOA or direct CRA access to verify the total income anyway. But to be on the safe side, that's what I suggest.

My dad retired in 2006. After that, he never worked but has visited me in Canada once. For his personal history in form 5669E, do I have to mention his vacation as an activity or just mention 2006 to 2019 unemployed?
For my mother I mentioned retired from 2016 and ongoing. I didn’t mention any vacays (too many of it)

You should write down all of your employment periods, according to your T4s. I know for a fact some people had changed a dozen of job in 3 years time but you should have one T4 for each of the legal paid job that you did.

Going by their guide:

Important information: Failure to account for all time periods will result in a delay in the processing of your application.

Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent.

Start with the most recent information.Under "Job/Activity Title, Position", write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc.). If you were outside your country of nationality, indicate your status in that country.

Since CIC has records if anyone traveled in Canada or not, I think it is safer to put the details of vacations but again to your point, this can be huge. Can anyone else provide their expert opinion on this?

I've been reading all of these Q&A and now I am second guessing my forms...
Q14 of IMM5768 - gross income: Is that line 150 of NOA? I only have one employer so I thought it was - pick the number from line 150 easy peasy... is that correct?

And for the 2019-01-01 PRESENT period, I printed out my work's YTD Summary ad got the "Regular Hours" amount that is displayed there - about $20K thus far, and I make $60K year.. sounds about right?

Thanks in advance!

p.s.: did we call BS on the whole black/blue ink on the forms?

Question regarding form IMM0008 the guide says to answer "No" to question 6a if not applicable. However, it is greyed out after I filled out Ontario as the intended place of residence.

Also, I can't get information on who needs to fill out Question 11 under personal details: Date and place of your last entry to Canada

it is greyed out and wouldn't allow me to fill a date. They visit regularly and I thought I could just enter the last time they visited

thanks for your response

For me I kinda interpret that question differently: Last THREE consecutive year PRECEDING application- I know the first line with "present" is confusing

For the purpose of financial evaluation for this process, I think they simply mean the year 2018, 2017 and 2016. I doubt they would count what we have earned in 2019, as CRA is unable to provide them that information yet.

My plan is as below

01-01-2018 to present
01-01-2017 to 12-31-2017
01-01-2016 to 12-31-2016

I would do this because it only makes sense that these are the verifiable amount and also for the purpose of qualification evaluation- it corresponds to what they require in the income table.

Just my two cents.

If anything I would add the top line 01-01-2019 to present then
2018. 2017.2016...but that would produce four years and really we haven't done tax for 2019.

Line 150 is exactly your gross income if the period is the entire year. And yes, don't know why they need this line, but for 2019 it's just YTD.

On forms 5768, 5406 (these two for sure, maybe more?) it states at the top "TYPE or PRINT in black ink"
Is right. It's a strange requirement but just go with a black pen.

QUESTION WITH RESPECT TO FORM imm008enu_2d:

Education/Occupation Detail: What should I add for intended occupation for my father who is principal applicant? He is currently a doctor in India. Not sure what we have to put in the Intended occupation as when he comes here he won't be practicing as a doctor.

Thank you.
