Anyone has parents in India who are senior citizens, for whom you have applied for sponsorship? How did you get the birth and marriage certificate done from India?
It took us about 5 - 6 months! We applied in May and received medical requests + pre arrival in late November.

Most of times, for older people date of birth proof is matriculation Certificate or Passport. IRCC knows there is no such thing in India for older people.
If still required get a affidavit attested from Sarpach/Councillor of your village/locality notarized it and should be fine.
For marriage 15/16 years ago, i had submitted affidavit that, I am married with so and so , this date and have attested and submitted . My parents sponsorship, i had first applied in 2010 without marriage certificate. My father passed away in 2014. Never submitted marriage certificate because my parents don't have.
On India passport there is always a Spouse name at the back page. I think that is enough proof. Or affidavit should be fine as well
PS: I am not immigration consultant or expert. I am just telling from my experience with IRCC. I heard people goes to tehsils in India for marriage certificate for older people, does not make any sense to me.

As far as I know, If application is incomplete , You would get back to complete it and re-submit. Also it would request missing information. It won't just reject your application.
Hello, question for the seniors here. We got invitation to apply for my in-laws, my Father-in-law is a retired Seafarer for 35 years so you can just imagine what his travel history is. We we're given some kind of an employment certificate/service record from his employer that states the name of the ship, the date that he joined the crew and the date that he signed off. They went as far as 20 years ago... Would this be sufficient? I'm also planning on including all his passport stamps and Seaman's booklet stamps.
If spouse have only two year tax return can I add her as consigner, I have 3 year of tax returns as sponsor?

Hi, Do your parents have a birth and marriage certificate? How are you planning to obtain those?
