Hi...my cousin’s daughter is 7 years old and my cousin wants to teach her further in Canada...So my question is Can a child of 7 years go to study in Canada?

Is your cousin a Canadian, a PR or has a work or student permit?

If not, the child needs a study permit and will need to pay international tuition fees of up to 15,000 per year.

okay thanks..but i have one more question Can my cousin go with his daughter Or she will have to come alone?

Your cousin may attempt to get a visitor’s visa but if your plans are for them to live here on a visitor’s visa, that will not work. Your cousin will need to give you guardianship of his daughter. IF he is approved a TRV and IF his daughter is approved a study permit, he can visit his daughter from time to time but he cannot live here based on his daughter being a student. If he gets rejected for a TRV then someone who has the right to enter Canada must pick her up and accompany her.

okay...but if they dont have relatives in canada...Then child would have to stay in hostel and who will come with her from India?

That will be on your cousin to work out.

Canada is not obligated to give him a visa. You said you are a PR? Again, your cousin can appoint you guardian. You can pick her up and take her here to live with you. If you do not want to then I guess the answer is, unless your cousin applies to become a PR as well and has the right to live here, his daughter can’t either.
