Sorry if this question is silly or too narrow, but I felt this was an appropriate place to ask this.
I entered the country in August. Just received my AOR today, going the inland spousal sponsorship route. I applied for a visitor extension back in January before my visitor status expired (in February), but I haven't heard back from that yet and I'm anticipating it being returned due to error. I was told I would be able to possibly qualify for Alberta Health when I got word back from it, but I was wondering if receiving my AOR for permanent residency is adequate for showing intent to stay. Should I wait for my open work permit, or is AOR good enough?
Appreciate any help
